Hi, I'll be in Paris for a week in the end of July. I have done a bit of searching and looked at the BA Paris Beer Guide. There is a bit of available information and a few places I am going to check out. Anything not listed on the beer guide or great bars/taprooms I shouldn't miss? Any of the breweries worth going to? I'll be in the Marais district. Won't have a car but don't mind using public transportation options. Any recommendations or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I'll be spending the month of July in Paris. I'll check back in here later in my trip and let you know the highlights I find.
Hi I live in Paris. Infortunately Not many good places here for craft beer but I can recomand you : Brewberry Bar (good beer and very nice neighboroud) And for have a good meal with craft beer : Le Triangle You can check these places on google. If you have questions you're welcome
Thanks! I will check them out. It is a family trip, so the beer part is just my bit of fun on the side.
I go to Paris once a year. IMHO, the best thing is to focus on traditional French styles like biere de garde and saison in lieu of the typical new craft IPAs. I was actually in Paris last week and visited my usual bottle shops (La Cave a Bulles and Bootlegger) to pick up some stuff. I also went to Hoppy Corner for beers with some local friends of mine that are into craft beer as well. However, I would say the local craft scene isn't going to blow you away. But, buying a bottle of Cuvee des Jonquilles and drinking it at the park under the Eiffel Tower...that's a beer experience. [/IMG]
Can I put in a plug for my friend Mike over at Deck & Donohue? They do American beers but they also do some saison / farmhouse. They do tours on Saturdays but you'll probably find them around town.
Hey folks! I'll be in Paris tomorrow, Oct 26 thru Saturday Oct 28. Doing mostly non-beer stuff but I've taken some notes from the forum here. Any other discoveries that haven't been mentioned here yet? Thanks! Cheers!
For future reference I found two excellent beer bars that are very close to each other in the 2nd arrondissement, near Rue Montorgueil - a great place to visit itself. Hoppy Corner and Beer&Malt. Both places had excellent, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend both.
Anybody have any recommendations for decent beer & food near the CDG airport? I'm staying there for two nights but only plan to go into the city one day. First night I doubt my travel party will want to venture out far so I'm looking for something near the RER B line from the airport to about the Sevran-Beaudottes station.
Sevran and this area is not very friendly... It's this kind of place who is called by CNN "no go zone"
You should take a taxi and go to one of these restaurants : Auberge de la Jument Verte http://www.aubergelajumentverte.fr/mobile/index.php?lang=fr Or Auberge du Tourloulou https://www.tourisme93.com/document.php?pagendx=170&engine_zoom=RESIDFC930001762 2 very goods restaurants but no beers there
