Wow weekend in Bristol, 10th anniversary for Moor with a brilliant weekend beer festival :

    Moor/Arbor Double Dark Alliance
    Cyclic Hoppy Saison
    Guineu/Moor Juicy Jones
    Birrifico Italiano Tipopils
    Buskers Chocolate Porter
    Croce Di Malto Temporis
    Dada Ready Made APA
    Elvo Heller Bock
    Hammer Workpiece
    Lambrate Rob de Matt
    Loverbeer Beerbera
    Montegioco Quarta Runa
    Toccalmato Miss Molly
    Lost and Grounded/Moor Uber Keller
    Zero Degrees Rhubarb Gose
    Brasserie De la Senne Zinnebir
    Cantillon Gueze
De Struise XXXX, Tseejes Bourbon Reserva
    Tilquin Gueze, Quetsche
    Monchsabacher Lager

... and an unknown German Kellerbier which wasn't on the menu but right out of the barrel which was superb. No duffers at all, all top notch.

This was only a sample which was there. Fantastic line up and huge shout out to Justin and the rest of the Moor family and all of the other Bristol breweries involved.

I'm guessing these are just tasters? 22 beers in a weekend would probably put me in the hospital.

Tipopils! I had a growler fill of that a few weeks ago. Really lovely stuff.

Friday! Time for spicy pizza, The Godfather and Cloudwater DDH Amarillo Pale and IPA Hallertau Blanc. Both perfect in this weather. Maybe completing the trio with a Centennial DIPA.

Went to visit friends at the weekend and ended up in a small brewpub in Letchworth called the Garden City Brewery. Nice place; has a pleasantly homely, DIY feel to it. Their beers were OK though I'll confess that the best pint of the evening was Fallen's Grapevine.....

Did a load of overtime last night so supped a few bevs when I got home. Kona Longboard Lager didn't touch the sides, Beerbliotek Crazy in the coconut was a nice, but not stand out juicy IPA. Finished with a Cloudwater Centennial IIPA which was pretty great but strong and in a big can, so I did wake up with a sore head.

Currently enjoying Ægir IPA from Norway - a resinous hoppy brew to finish up the week....

I spend the weekend past (plus a couple days) in Gdansk, Poland with my daughter who was off from school.
Porter Cieszynski, Browar Zamkowy Cieszyn (Baltic Porter)
Wrezel Tropical Imperial IPA, Browar Zarzecze (Imperial IPA)
Grodziska White IPA, Browar w Grodzisku Wielkopolskim (IPA)
    Żywiec APA, Zywiec Breweries (APA)
    Juicy Delight, Browar Rockmill (IPA)
Hasen Bräu Augsburger Original, Hasen Bräu Augsburg (Kellerbier)
Grodziska APA, Browar w Grodzisku Wielkopolskim (APA)
I had a couple others at some small tap houses that I couldn't match up with breweries on the website here. The Wrezel Tropical Imperial IPA was probably the best of the group (I scored it a 4.02). Worst was the Zywiec APA, which was to be expected considering the brewer mostly puts out garbage for getting drunk fast. Certainly a growing beer scene there in Poland.

This weekend I'm starting off with a 750ml Cuvee Angelique from De Glazen Toren, which I picked up in France two weeks ago (but is a Belgian beer). Amazingly delicate for an 8.5% beer.

Glad you had a good time in Poland. I was in Gdansk 2 years ago, Krakow last year and spending 5 days in August in Warsaw. As you say cracking beer scene over there, ever increasing, even barrel aged RIS's being cracked out very well. My favs are Pracownia Piwa, AleBrowar, Pinta and Artezan, altho a barman last year reckoned there were about 200 micro brewers there and expanding. Heard good things about Rockmill. In terms of Zywiec agreed, apart from their 1881 Baltic Porter which is really good and about a £1 or less a 500 ml bottle over there, if you can find it.

Like the Fallen beers as well, spoke with the brewer at a tap takeover a few years ago, really knew his stuff. Chew Chew is really nice.

The only Rockmill beer I had a chance to try (Juicy Delight) came highly recommended from the taproom (Pulapka). It was their attempt at a NE-style IPA. Perhaps they just fell short by comparison, as I just happened to have a chance to visit Treehouse Brewery in Massachusetts a couple months ago.

Had a few at home last night:
Brighton Bier Old Skool and Lucky Boy, a West coast IPA and a black IPA, both very impressive.
Cloudwater Grisette El Dorado which was really refreshing and just brilliant for the summer.
Cloudwater DDH IPA Citra which, super fresh probably needs another week or so before it's at its best. Superb hop character but a bit too sweet still.

Haven't posted in ages... Spent Saturday at my local, Beavertown Brewery. Had way too many, but the treats I remember are:
Blueberry Fika Stout (blueberry & cardamom) delicious! Excellent blueberry profile and spice
    M.A.D DIPA Lervig Collab
    Humuloid better than M.A.D
Canned Rations Spiced IPA, interested. Reminded me of christmas for some reason
then the usual suspects, Gamma Ray, Neck Oil, Smog Rocket.

I find that for me, they rarely turn out a bad product.

Quite a bit of beer this weekend, but oddly there wasn't a single British beer in the mix. Had quite a few Flying Dog beers (mostly Tropical Bitch and Snake Dog) along with Anchor Steam Dry Hopped at a couple pre-4th of July events I attended. Also ate at the Spaniards where they had a lot of Sierra Nevada on tap, so I was able to try Hop Hunter and Tropical Torpedo. At home, I was able to finally try St Bernadus 4 along with a bit too much homebrew cider. All in all, the Hop Hunter was probably the highlight.

I attended the summer beer festival at the pilcrow in Manchester and enjoyed beers from cloudwater - seguin Bierre brut, omnipollo/ de molen pineapple IPA collab, a couple of marble ones including the new langosetine, first beer I've tried from dry and bitter- the fat and fruity, torrside Spartacus and thornbridge cucumber wye. Missed the chance at the barrel aged anagram from dugges and omnipollo as it was only on the Friday. When I got home had a can of the telepathy from magic rock.

A bottle of Oakham's Citra earlier (they had some in Home Bargains this week). Now I'm enjoying Buxton's Axe Edge - superbly hoppy....
