Going to be heading to Laughlin soon, I want to take some craft brews with me. All the other times I've drank bud light. New to this whole craft beer scene & loving every sip of it. Just wondering on what would be some good light crisp refreshing beers that YOU would take the River/Lake.

Alesmith's Speedway Stout. Bourbon Barreled w/ Vietnamese coffee if you can find it at a decent price.

    It's true. I'm sorry.

Sounds like you're still dialing in your tastes so it's tough to recommend. For me, it'd be traditional saisons (Great Divide's Collete, Saison Dupont, Goose Island's Sofie). Other Belgian styles might be too high ABV for this type of thing unless you're planning on sharing 750s. If you're into IPAs, buy a few different cans/bottles and see if you can figure out the hop bill from the website. Use that to choose your next few. The more you can narrow down what you like, the fewer drain pours you'll have--which is what we all want, right?

I'd go with River Buddy over Long Swim, much more reasonable ABV for drinking in the sun.

I wouldn't recommend too many IPAs. I'd mix in some pilsners, goses, berliners.... FW Pivo, Anderson Valley, Evil Twin, Mikkeller.

that's what I was thinking nothing too heavy in alcohol, nice easy drinkers to not kill me from the sun & dehydration

Dude, you're going to Laughlin. Coors Banquet / Coors Light / Miller High Life is all you need there.

Go stop by HB beachwood and grab a bunch of foam top & malgy sixers. Though if you want canned items any solid pale ale would be my choice (pizza port or I think even kern has cans now), flavor but little fatigue.

If you could find any cans from the last batch, Highland Park Timbo Pils would be the correct answer. It's highly unlikely anyone would give them up, though. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wasn't timbo on for fills this past weekend? A few well insulated growlers would be great...

I get it, but for real. Its going to be hot as hell. I go to Laughlin every year and always bring some beers with me, but always end up switching to Coors Banquet mid day becasue its so miserably hot.

In all honesty though ... Firestone Pivo Pils
