What beer are you drinking now? #1705

A thoroughly mediocre round of golf this morning. But at least Torpedo awaits me in the grille.



Home now, on my third day of Beer Camp. After this I'll stain the deck.

 

A new "session" IPA to try. It's OK, but not worth the $9.99 a 4 pack price. Live and learn, cheers!

 

Next up on my to-do list is drinking this 51K by BlackRocks. Two finger thick white cap on this bad mofo.Pours deep amber,light brown.Nose and taste are one in the same with this brew.Piny and floral are the hallmarks I've come to expect in an IPA and they are present here in spades.

Strong hop presence in the taste.Quite a sharp bite in there too. Ancho chiles blended with bitter grapefruit. This should be a DIPA. yum? taste does not disappoint. 7% ABV and there is no hiding it here. If Founders Doom was not barrel aged I would imagine it tasting something like this. Cheers !

Finally a break in the rain. Going to take this one to the beach. I told my wife a few days ago this week was going to end with me holding somebody hostage with a BB gun (a reference that she didn't get ) This was before our trip to the ER too. I noticed that we are right off of Holiday Rd last night, and now this

Can't be a good sign

 

It is a shame that beer is so petty. I get that God is an astronaut. I also understand that Franklin credited wine as proof of God's love for man. But hate is such a strong word.
