    My second day on the Frisian Island of Texel. And today more luck with this local Texels Skuumkoppe. Not from a bottle in a plastic glass, but from tap in proper glassware :grinning:

    Took me some time to bring the beer to my room, s the foamy head faded a bit in the wind.
    The name of this beer ’Skuumkoppe’ is local Dutch for something like foamy head (like on stormy sea).

    Nice place where I’m staying now. Bit remote, but they have all their basics (and even glassware) covered.

    At Monmouth Park and for the first time local craft beer for sale. Asbury Park Brewing Golden Lager nice stuff.

    My dad used to say something similar. Beer is the nectar of the gods. Of course he also said stuff like "with dope there is no hope- with booze you cannot lose."

    Palate Shifter.

    One of my favorite IPA's.

    There are so many good IPA's on the shelf that there's no room for many other options.

    In that one regard I look forward to fall. There are plenty of good stouts and porters produced year round but the stores near me won't stock them. They just get the high dollar stouts.

    Not the biggest Lord Hobo fan, but this one is interesting. Earthy tones in the nose; exotic weed and pineapple on the tongue. Make no mistake, I've had better executed beers featuring Galaxy hops. This one just has something really funky going on, and I like it. Cheers.

    Damn, Prodigy was on his A-game here. I've consistently listened to Mobb Deep throughout the years; they are a staple in my music library. That said, admittedly, I haven't listened to Prodigy's debut solo album in a long time. I forgot how f*ckin' good it was to my ears. Rest in Power, Albert Johnson!
