Breweries near Kane/Carton

closest to kane - dark city, icarus, little dog (no cans/bottles), jughandle (no cans/bottles). next to kane there is a wegmans that has a liquor license (and stocks some nj stuff like bolero)

closet to carton would probably be belford brewing - they dont can/bottle afaik.

 

I would definitely hit up Icarus in Lakewood, a little south of Kane. Plenty of good bars in asbury that carry local selections

 

The one time I stopped in to Little Dog they did have bottles available. Not sure if thats a regular thing.

Jughandle just did a one year anniversary bottle and I believe there is another one coming this Sat. No clue if first is still available.

Also, crowlers are available at Jughandle and Belford if those are of any interest to you.

Asbury Park Brewing cans but nothing worth seeking out. As far as other breweries Last Wave and Frye Brewing in Point Pleasant are both open as of this weekend but no cans/bottles from either of them yet.

 

Not only do they have many bottles, last time I was there and was unsure of a bottle (they often have different beers on tap than those available in bottles) they opened one up and poured me some! Highly recommend Seafarer's Stout, the best dry irish stout I've had.

 

If you're by Kane, then you are right by Wegman's in Ocean. I'd recommend hitting that up as well. You might still be able to find Crooked Labulls from Bolero Snort and maybe some other stuff from New Jersey as well.

 

I saw you asking about Magnify beers. You MIGHT be able to find Low Vis and/or Vine Shine at the same Wegman's. If not, Bottle King in Middletown currently has both.. and this Bottle King isn't completely out of the way from Carton Brewing. That Bottle King also has a decent selection of New Jersey beers.

 

As of an hour ago, they had the 2 Magnify beers I mentioned. They have about 4 Bolero Snort beers, but I don't remember which ones they had. I know they also have some Double Nicket, 902 Brewing, some Carton...

The Bolero beers will probably still be there on Saturday. I've seen 3 of them there for a week or two and I think they just received Kowabunga (their session).

Oh, they also had Astarte from Demented Brewing which is a strawberry cream ale.

I wish I could remember what else they had, but that Bottle King really does have a nice selection of stuff.

 

Wegman's in Ocean (the one I mentioned before) sometimes will have them as well. Other than that, I don't know of any other place in this county that carries Magnify beers.

 

Ron Jon Liquor in wall twp now has growlers, they may have Brotherton or Threes

 

If you are looking good for growlers fills Spirits Unlimited has an app that shows what is available at some locations. Spirits Unlimited has a growler station but they aren't on the app so you will have to give them a call to find out what is available.

Also Troon completely sells out of beer so get there early.

 

careful with bolero stuff it's very hit or miss imo.. kane/carton/troon/maginfy and if you can find brotherton is all solid though.. also if you hit troon conclave and referend aren't far
