Yeah, I know, but there's no way I'm buying a whole case of Lord Chesty unless I'm throwing a party or something. Thanks for the info though

I've tried that approach and not just locally. Get a cheerful "we'll look into it" response but never heard back.

Should have had her try the Summer Wheat while you were at it. I adore that beer and have drank a lot of it this summer. It may not be the best heffie, but its definitely the best heffie in its price range.

Works here, quite well. Do it two/three times a year. The owner/manager does it quite cheerfully since he knows I buy what I ask for.

Note: He also knows I want fresh, so if ne can't get it fresh he won't order it.

A kolsch is probably a good way to lure them into craft. From my personal subjective experience, heffie is not as easy a leap. I love heffies now, but I was not a fan when I first tried them. If all someone has ever drank is BMC, I think its a pretty big leap, despite how easy drinking they are percieved to be by your average BA around here. And they are easy to drink, but perception can be eveything to the untrained palette, and if all you have ever had is AAL's heffies can seem pretty "weird."

Agreed. Add to that list, blonde ale, cream ale, and maybe even a California Common.

Agreed again. Estery and phenolic is not in the wheelhouse of most BMC drinkers.

Rob, it wasn't the first time.

Someday I will have to tell you the story where my sister offered me a can of Budweiser at my birthday party and I drank it. This was over 10 years ago and my wife still tells that story.:flushed:

    Cheers!

Well, I can report that I drank a sample pour of the Summer Wheat. IMO it is a high quality Hefeweizen beer.

    Cheers!

Regular beer means "A Beer that I saw in a television commercial" to most people.

Regular beer is any beer that buys ad time on NFL football games!
