Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Having a family get together later on this afternoon for my pre-birthday, which is actually a week from tomorrow. 3 decades flew by quickly :stuck_out_tongue:

Insane IPA. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate bready/light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced sticky/resinous hops and bready/grainy malts in the mouthfeel. Moderately crisp, increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Amazingly drinkable and refreshing for an IPA. Very vibrant, juicy, dank hop flavors. Just as amazing as the regular Born Yesterday for me. This has similar clarity to the 2015 batch. Last fall was more hazy/juicy. I love them both ways. Already bought a full pack, but will definitely get more if I see them. Wish they made this year round, they definitely have the capacity and resources to do it. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite.

Incredible! Aromas and flavors of huge peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and toasted brown bread; with a touch of herbal hops and vanilla. Light herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with great bready creaminess in the mouthfeel; touch of chalky roast and sticky hops/PB. Perfect bittersweet balance. Lightly increasing bitter/roasted dryness. Love this even more than the base beer. The PB feels a lot more pronounced in the flavors; and the coffee adds an even deeper level of roasted complexity, to the already complex base malt bill. Very rich flavors for the modest ABV. I really hope DuClaw expands to MI some day, I am addicted to their PB beers and grab them whenever I go to Ohio.

Awesome quad as always. Huge flavors of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, date, apple, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and light nutty maltiness; with some herbal hop and yeasty earthiness. Fair amount of yeast spice on the finish; with a great balance of yeast and malt flavors with no overwhelming sweetness. Medium-full bodied; some bready creaminess and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing spicy yeast dryness. Well attenuated overall considering the ABV. Really excellent and well rounded for an American made Quad. Been on a bit of a Belgian kick lately with Tripels and Quads. Don't think they are releasing Blasphemy this year(or any 750 ml for that matter), but it's still around on the shelf. Might grab one soon. Will probably grab another 4 pack of this as well.

Always incredible. Flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, caramel, molasses, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, and dark bread; hint of smoke. Bittersweet roast and lightly spicy oak/bourbon finish; with a creamy/silky/velvety full body; touch of chalky roast and tannic oak dryness. Minimal warming 11.8%; no barrel booze, though there is a tad in the aromas as it warms. Pretty much perfectly balanced between chocolate, coffee, malt, and barrel character. Glad I grabbed a lot this year. Well worth the price. I revisited my reviews/ratings for both this and Backwoods recently.

This was meant for last night, but plans were altered. No problem, s'mores for breakfast sounds good, too.

Three Notch'd BBA Biggie S'mores - one of my highest rated beers, and I'm not too high above the average. The base beer's graham crackers are mellowed by the barrel, it seems. It's still nice and roasty, with a little bit of the bourbon and a lightly dry slightly bitter end. Not sure I'd rate this glass quite as high, but close.
