Im heading up to Moylan's, Lagunitas and Russian River tomorrow. what are some other places around here to hit up for good beers. Also what are the must haves out right now that i need to try from these places. (im well aware of pliny).
Skip Moylans and add Bear Republic to the list. Also check out Flavor Bistro just down the street from RR and drink Moonlight beers.
I'm not from NorCal but I have heard good things about Anderson Valley as a cool place to check out. I believe they let you camp out there??
Ya im rollin up there with family and they have requested to stop at moylans. we've been to BR many times before. just not too familiar with moylans, so im interested in it.
What if he's from the South Bay? Though I can't say I've ever heard anyone from Torrance, Redondo, Hermosa, etc. call it anything but the South Bay...
Other than the sours and Pliny at RR, go for the Porter or Dubbel. I like Moylans. Go for the Hop Craic or Hopsickle. They have a Pomegrante Wheat thats good too. If you can make it up to Fort Bragg, you can hit up North Coast.
Anderson Valley is a nice one to visit, but it's a bit of a drive from the other places mentioned: Moylan's, Lagunitas, RR, and Bear Republic are all right on highway 101, and fairly close together. To get to Anderson, you have to go west up over some foothills/mountains on a pretty windy road (128, I think), so it takes a while. AFAIK you can't camp at the brewery but there are lots of campgrounds nearby. Anderson Valley, the place, is also a very good wine producing region, with some great wineries. Well worth a visit.
Levitate yourself off of my c*ck please, thanks. Went to Moylans, Lag, RR, BR, NapaSmith and Drakes this weekend. got a nice haul, id post a pic but i dont know how to do so on this forum.
