What are some of the favorite Summer Sippers y'all enjoy? I tend to like Wits, but there's not many around it seems. The Pfriem Wit shows up some, and I get that when I can. A nice Crisp Field 41 always hits the spot. And, I've been hitting cans of Boundary Bay Citraweisse too.

On a really hot day, or post-lawn mowing, sometimes a Stiegl Grapefruit Radler.

I wish Occidental would distribute their hefeweizen in Seattle; it's second only to the Seapine hef, in my opinion.

The Mandarina pale I had at Machine House on Friday was divine, perfect for warmer weather.
I also love a good hoppy pils, like Pivo. Wish someone made some stuff like Jack's Abbey around here. Their hoppy lagers would be perfect this time of year.

I don't have a favorite Summer beer. Sister is done, Brother is around the corner, then Fresh Hop season. Now that's another story.

Sunriver Rippin is great for all seasons, including summer.

A friend of mine just got back from a trip to Bend. He brought me back a bunch of Ching Chings, and I traded him one for a BBC Razz Tafari. This is a raspberry sour that stands alongside Wanders Raspberry Millie for me. Which is high praise indeed. A must-try if y'all see it.

I just drank my first Ecliptic Starburst and...wow. It is less than a week old and fantastic. The perfect hop punch without being too much for summer. At 7.8% it might not be an all day beer, but I'm really amazed by this.

    Speaking of nice summer sippers:

Cost Plus World Market is selling fresh 750 ML bottles of Boulevard's Smokestack Series Saison-Brett at around $7.20

That is a crazy price and over 50+% off most places!! No limits and they have it both refrigerated and on middle shelves (shaded from light).

The only thing you need to do is sign up for their rewards program online or in store (it's free). I was extremely surprised at some of the fresh beers and wines they carry. Not a big selection of beers, but decent prices.

    Other favorite summer sippers:
    • Alesong Strawberry Symphony
    • Bell's Oberon Ale
    • Three Floyd's Gumball Head
    • Boulevard Wheat
    • Reissdorf Kolsch

It _is_ good, isn't it? A most pleasant surprise. And easy to find!

My drinking preferences don't change with the seasons (except during fresh hop season, obviously). Currently in cans in my fridge, Fremont Interurban and Lush, Georgetown Lucille and Bodhi, Bale Breaker Field 41 and Bottom Cutter, Silver City Ridgetop Red, and Reuben's Crikey.

You do know the back story of Pivo, right? I think I told you this, but maybe I didn't. Suffice to say, the prototype of Pivo was/is brewed a few blocks down the street from you.

Having decided to not do much of anything today, and, make a dent in the amount beers in the fridge, I drank some beers. Including a few of my roomies. (and, I jacked a few slices of the pizza he had delivered as well). So, I walked over to 711, to get a Hot Dog, it is Merka Day, after all, and buy some replacement beers. I did good, replaced 1 Topcutter with 3 Bottomcutters (lets see if he notices. HA), and they had sixers of Montucky Coldsnack for $9 6/16oz cans. If you were committed to celebrating with an "American lager", ya could do worse.

I picked up a bottle of pFriem Summer Pale this afternoon and it is one of the best summer beers I've had in a few seasons.

It is light and quenching and bone dry, yet doesn't skimp on hop power or flavor, with luscious citrus and stonefruit notes. And it's only 5% abv.

If you see it, grab it.

I said it (sorta) upthread: Pfriem kinda kicks major ass, while staying under the radar, hypewise. A few other of our regional breweries might take note. Or, is that asking too much?

Also without (so far) making a hazy, NE style IPA.

    How is that even possible?

I definitely second what you all have been saying about pFriem - they've been totally killing it for awhile while somehow still staying under the radar. Easy must-try-beer for me with anything they put out. As far as summer sippers, I am a "seasonal" drinker as far as the weather (for the most part) so some of the go-to's for me this year have been: SN Summerfest, Sixpoint Jammer, Worthy Easy Day Kolsch, and have been digging the new FW Leo v. Ursus: Adversus too. Cheers!

I think I have killed a ton of Reuben's Summer IPA since one of the brewers brought me a 6er. So good! Also thank God for the Bodhizafa cans!
