There's plenty of sharing, just be discreet about it. Bring a coffee cup if you do, and chat up the people around you. Nobody will steal your spot.

The latter. If it's permissable, that's fine. I've mostly spent time in lines where you aren't allowed to drink in line (Veil, Tired Hands, Bissell, Tree House).

Tried answering this. As did a bunch of others. But all seem to have been deleted by mods for some reason.

lotta salt in this thread for this release. especially considering OH has already dropped limits.

if you dont like lines and hype... stay away.

if you do, cya at 4am.

OH has really upped their game over the past year and thats saying something considering their game was pretty top notch.

Probably because it's technically against the law. I really wasn't sure what the law was in NYC so I thought I'd ask. Appareciat all the responses folks! I'll see you all around 5 or 6 am on Sat.

It is, and people get ticketed often enough on OH lines.

Keep your beer in cup, pee at McDonald's, and make friends on line. It's simple, don't be an idiot. Most importantly, have fun and realize that it's just beer. People take this shit way too seriously.

Wouldn't surprise me if people start lining up Fri night right after closing..half expect to see tents & sleeping bags...I'll be snoring away at home..waking up sometime in the afternoon.

Are people standing on line drinking cans of DIPA (Assume this is the go to given what you're waiting for) at 7/8 for a couple of hours then getting back in their cars to drive home after they pick up their cans? Seems absolutely insane to me.

Yes. Even worse, some of them hit the taproom after buying cans.

Not to mention high ABV stouts. I am sure a lot of people drink responsibly (putting aside drinking illegally) but there are certainly some who don't.

I have literally overheard drivers in line saying they need to "hit the taproom for some sessions to sober up" after sharing BA stouts for 2 hrs in line before a can release. I think it's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt... And a fatal accident with four cases of craft beer cans spewed all over 278 will look pretty bad. :slight_frown:

That is pretty pathetic. If NYPD wants to look the other way on drinking in public, least they can do is setup some DWI checkpoints in the area.

It seems there must have been a complaint or something about a month ago. There is usually a small police presense in the area, and I've specifically noticed cops standing across the street watching people leaving the tap room.

Anyone have an update on the expanded tap room opening up? Was thinking they might open up the new tap room with a big release like this.
