How about the people that showed up at 9pm last night.

Must be nice to have the kind of life to wait overnight for beer. I'd love to see how that conversation would go in my house, and my wife is actually pretty cool with my drinking.

By the way, how's that "line share" that started at 11:30 last night going at this point?

I just thank god above that I checked IG before leaving the house this morning. Would have gotten into Brooklyn around 7:00 and still needed to park - only to maybe get nothing - which is infuckingsane.

I'm on exactly your boat. I think my wife is easy going and also semi-shares my interest in beer - but this would be a hard hard sell, and tbh just not a priority item for me to argue for (unlike me going to a bar at 3am this morning to watch the final game of the Lions vs All Blacks series)

The irony is I went to bed too early for this release to get laid last night, and I'm still only guaranteed two of the beers. I did not get a full allotment in both senses. Oh well, there's always tonight.

Don't leave out these boutique IPA can only breweries when placing blame. Countless, indistinguishable IPAs, shirts, hats, glasses - OH fully knows what they are doing and are driving this shitshow. I'd imagine most in line are just going to flip for profit these "collectables". It's no longer about the beer. Hey as long as that's what you're into.

OH is a business, good on them if they can make this kind of profit and people are willing to hand over their bank accounts. I do agree, for many people in that line it is not about the beer.

OH needs to find a way to cater to the normal person who just wants to walk into a brewery and pick up a couple of 4 packs without sleeping on the sidewalk. Current can clientele is the lunatic fringe and not sustainable.

The crazy thing is the first person in line is so proud of himself. Posting pictures all over UT and how his line share started at 9 pm last night. I don't get it, not sure I ever will....

Good choice there was a great game!

Those videos of the line are crazy. Even more baffling given the quality beer you can just walk in off the street and pick up in other places in NY. The thoughts of sitting there all night and then being wrecked for the whole weekend is my idea of hell.

People need to start voting with their dollars to discourage this kind of behavior/culture.

I mean, we all knew this was gonna be the outcome right? I wouldn't blame OH for this, and quite honestly there's gonna be great beer every single week that you don't have to line up for to get. Give me a case of DDH Hop Showers at 1 in the afternoon with no line and I'm happy. Not to mention you can go to Interboro, KCBC, Greenpoint, LICBP etc. and pick up cans of great hoppy beer any day you want. No need to complain about anything anymore IMO if you're local to the 5 boroughs. There's literally 4-5 different can releases every. single. week.
