This was the exception to the rule, it being on a holiday, apparently a lot of people came from out of town + most people off work.
Most releases two-ish hours after open, the line is very short or no real wait.

 

Sierra Misty was sold out and the crowlers were long gone.

I'm surprised they didn't sell out - 16 people could have made that difference. Still no need to line up 5 hours early though!

 

The Veil will be participating in Copenhagen Beer & Music Festival - Boston in Sept.

I feel like they should be embarrased by this. Its one thing to "experiment", but this is straight novelty beer, which is a line they've been crossing more and more with the Hornswoggler beers.

 

I agree with the thought they were just trolling. If chicken actually goes in the beer, just stupid. Really hope it's not released when I can finally go again later this month.

Also, agree on Horns adjuncts (oreos on) as novelty. But every one has still been an improvement on plain Horns which, imho, isn't very good.

I like their beer but they are gimmicky as hell. The perfect Instagram brewery.

- Coalesce is one of our faves. Clocking in at 5.5%, this unfiltered Czech style Pilsner is a refreshing crusher. We slightly increased the hop character on this batch and super pumped on it. Tim Skirven from Skirven & Croft completely destroyed the artwork on the new label.
Shooting for approx 90-115 cases. $12+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person.

- Broz Night Out is our 100% Citra DIPA. Clocking in at 9%, this one is intensely hopped with one of our favorite hops, the almighty Citra. Insane batch!
Shooting for approx 200-220 cases. $16+tax/4-pack.4x 4-packs per person.

- Henry from Monkish (DEBUT) is belated birthday gift for one of our best budz. We used his fave yeast and some of his fave malts/hops. Hopped intensely with Galaxy and Simcoe, clocking in at 5.9% this is the double hopped IPA that we think Henry would want to drink. *PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS NOT A COLLABORATION, IT IS A DEDICATION BEER.*
Shooting for approx 225-245 cases. $15.50+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person limit.

- Snozzwired (DEBUT) is our 4.4% session chocolate milk stout Snozzwanger conditioned on a bunch of Lamplighter Coffee Roasters espresso. Very aromatic and a pretty rad body for being such a low abv.
Shooting for approx 175-190 cases. $14+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person.

*In addition to Snozzwired, we will also be releasing our first ever nitro stout we're calling Snozzberri. Snozzberri is Snozzwan...ger(pre-coffee) conditioned on top of blueberry purée. This will be DRAFT ONLY and will not see distro. Exclusive to our tasting room with limited supplies.

*In addition to Snozzberri, we will also be tapping a one-off pin of Snozzwired with a bunch of Michigan maple syrup from our friends BLiS. This will be tapped at 4pm and when it kicks, it kicks.

If they could have called that 5.9% IPA anything else, hardly anyone would be interested in it while I load up. But no, they had to make a collectors item out of it. I'm starting to like this brewery a little bit less every week.

 

"Quick, what's a way we can make a pretty middling release super hyped? I've got it, we'll call it a dedication beer."

Pretty funny marketing move imo.

 

Evil Twin posted a video on Instagram showing them dropping the chicken in the beer.

 

I'm planning to go with a friend on the 25th. I know we don't know what kind of beer it is but if it's an D/IPA that would be right on time for them to release it then so now I'm hoping this isn't a beer on that release, or if it is there are 3-4 other cans I'd want. My luck it'll be Chicken Beer and Cat Boy.

 

It's definitely a hoppy beer (Veil said so on Facebook in response to a question on one of their posts).
