Yep. Had a pour today at Falling Rock. It may not be the best out there, but it is still the measuring stick by which I judge all others.

Platt Park Brewing Company is on the NW corner of Jewell and Pearl. Not really close, but Comrade is less than 5 miles from Platt Park Brewing.

Fermaentra is right around the corner. You are also very close to some South Broadway breweries, particularly: The Post, Black Project, Declaration, and Grandma's House. The Post and Black project would definitely be my top choices on that list. If you do hit up Platt Park brewing park burger is right across the street for a decent meal.

When I am in that area I usually go to Ratio, Bierstadt, Stem, and Beryl's. You may be better off just hitting up First Draft and Finn's Manor though, if you just want a good mix of great beer.

Hi All, piggy backing on this thread to try to get some input on an itinerary for a bachelor party next weekend. I've read through the other forms on the topic, but being unfamiliar with Denver's layout, just want to sense check it with some local folks who know the lay of the land. There will be 12 of us, so tried to take that into account- also they are not all craft beer nerds, but the bachelor is, so trying to find a good balance:

    Thursday night: Everyone arrives
    • Reservations at Euclid Hall at 8:30
    • The bachelor spent some time in Denver when he was in school and loved Sancho’s Broken Arrow, so we might go there after dinner and also check out 1 Up since its next door.
    Friday:
    • Breakfast at the house
    • Plan on taking the D-Line down from 20th & Welton to Post Chicken and Beer for lunch around 1
    • 2:30 Tour of Laws Whiskey, which runs til about 4
    • Uber back towards the ballpark and pregame at Falling Rock/Tap 14
    • We got rooftop tickets to the 6:40 Rockies game, plan on just eating there
    • Going out after the game- Hit some bars nearby (maybe Side Car) Want to end at Star Bar since its about a block from where we're staying.
    • Hoping for some late night Biker Jim’s dogs

    Saturday:
    • Brunch at Noon at Old Major
    • Catch a ride over to Crooked Stave to begin a RiNo brewery/bar crawl to the following: (not in specific order)
    • Ratio
    • Our Mutual Friend
    • First Draft
    • Finn's Manor
Thinking everyone can just eat at one of the food trucks that should be around on a Saturday at most of these places. Will keep the night open since most of us are flying out Sunday morning.

Again, just appreciate feedback if this sounds feasible or missing anything, although its likely a bit ambitious with this many people. With 12 of us going, I'm trying to keep things walkable when possible as opposed to all of us having to hop in an Uber after every stop.

PS- I really wanted to work Denver Biscuit Company into the mix somehow, another option was doing that Friday morning and going to Cerebral before the tour at Laws, but I kind of like the option of taking the light rail and Post is close to the Evans stop and about a 3 minute ride to Laws. Not sure if we're making a huge mistake by skipping the biscuits.

    Cheers!

    A few thoughts to consider:

-That walk from Euclid Hall to Sancho's/1-Up is a decent one. Colfax can be a little, uh.., "interesting" in that area. Maybe consider ubering.
-I'm not sure if the light rail runs to 20th & Welton on weekends - double check the schedule.
-1pm at Post then 2:30pm at Laws. I would give yourself extra time here. Post is often packed (for good reason) so you'll want to account for a wait and allow yourself enough time to enjoy all the deliciousness. That's a fair walk from Post to Law's as well, so consider Ubering.
-You won't have any problems with your Rockies pre and post game plans. Everything in that area is walkable. Good call on Biker Jim's.
-You can certainly walk the RiNo breweries, but it's very spread out. Consider ubering here as well (but maybe I'm just lazy!)
-Denver Biscuit Company is fantastic, but so is Post. I don't think you can go wrong with either option because Cerebral is definitely worth a visit. However, if your crew isn't entirely full of beer aficionados, then I'm sure many of them will appreciate Law's - world class whiskeys.

Sounds like a fun weekend! Can I come?

    Piggybacking on your piggyback (thanks)-

Group is a little smaller, 6-8 guys, most of which are not beer-centric, and looking to spend about 4-5 hours tomorrow hitting some bars and breweries, ideally with some outdoor space/games and a decent enough beer selection. Our target is the area around Coors, and in scouting things out I've sort of divided our (presumed) best options into north/northeast of Park Ave near Latimer and south/southwest of Park. For the former I'm thinking Zephyr (looks like outdoor/games/etc there), 10 barrel, First Draft, and Epic. For the latter I saw View House, Great Divide, Breck on Blake, and Falling Rock.

Anything else I'm missing that would be approachable for this group and also have some quality beers? Is it feasible to keep walking to each place within my little zones without ubering in between?

(For the record I'm hitting Crooked Stave by myself right from the airport. Other beer geeky solo suggestions also welcome.)

    Thanks-

Sorry, also forgot to ask - any bars that I might be able to score some nice bottles from the cellar, Cantillon or the like?

Best bet for bling bottles is probably Falling Rock.

As for your other stops, I have heard nothing good about Zephyr, so that may be low on the list. First Draft is cool and has a nice patio; I have not been to 10 Barrel yet; Epic is a pretty nice space, but the outdoor area is small; I am not a View House fan, but they do have a big rooftop and outdoor with games; Great Divide has two locations -- the Brighton Blvd. spot is the new one and the Arapahoe location is the original (I prefer the original, but the patio there is small FWIW); Breck on Blake is ho-hum; and Falling Rock is a must hit. As for walking...those places are somewhat spread out (maybe a mile between Epic and FR), but you could walk to them all if you have time.

I would throw Ratio into the mix instead of Zephyr because they have a nice outdoor space and maybe also consider Our Mutual Friend for a cool outdoor space and Finn's Manor instead of Breck on Blake unless you're dead set on being close to Coors Field.

You're a shitty friend. If you aren't going to go see tits then y'all should go to the mtns and do some rafting or hiking or something. If you don't go to the mtns then Denver is just an overcrowded city, nothing special.

Appreciate the feedback! Was able to make a reservation at 12:30 at Post Chicken so we should be good on time for the tour. And feel free to come join us, you know where we'll be haha. Cheers!

If you like sours and are down by Post/Laws on South Broadway check out Black Project. They are doing some great stuff. Also not far from some of the spots you will be at is good zuer if you want some sour beers. They have like 30 taps and a large bottle list all sour.

Awesome, will probably start on the northeast side and walk down the whole strip of these places then. Really appreciate the feedback!

I would probably skip 10 barrel. There are lots of great breweries/beer bars in Rino, and that one would be pretty far down my list.

Any recommendations on a place to watch the USMNT game this Wednesday evening, with food, that is appropriate to bring along a 7 month old? Our hotel is downtown off 16th St.

British Bulldog is gonna be the closest soccer bar to you, might be walkable with a baby in your arms or a stroller, it depends where exactly on 16th St your hotel is. They have food. It's kind of small and skinny, there will be some US fans there but I don't think it will be a packed and loud shitshow since the game is on regular tv for most folks and it's a Wednesday, I'd guess it'd be ok with a 7-month-old.

Three Lions is down the road on Colfax. Would require a drive/lyft, but is way bigger and should be no problem with the baby.

Sobo 151 is down the road on Broadway, would also require a drive/lyft. It's a Czech bar, but since it's not hockey season I'm pretty sure they will have the soccer game on (I've watched US games there before). I like their food quite a bit more than Bulldog or 3 Lions.

None of those 3 are going to impress you with their craft beer selections. If that's what you're looking for, I'd say Freshcraft or Falling Rock and get them to put it on one of their few tvs. There's no Rockies game to compete with so I'd think they can accommodate you. But you won't have sound, and the viewing experience won't be optimal.

If you're going that route, Walter's will have some dank local beers you've never tried on tap, pretty good pizza, and they'll put the game on the tvs above the bar I'm sure. Will require a short drive/lyft probably.

Just saw this response. My wife ended up staying at the hotel with our daughter so my sister and I walked to Euclid Hall for dinner. Thankfully they had the game on at the bar. Food was excellent.
