I've been asleep for the last six hours.

Folks invited to the dinner were able to pick up their Eventbrite sale purchases in addition to in-person purchases. The photo you're speculating about was posted by a couple who attended the dinner together, bought their allotment, and picked up their online sale bottles.

    Send me the names.

That's okay - I'll start catching up to ol' 3 case chuck on Friday.

I mean, that would open up BL to a metric fuckton of legal liability, so I highly doubt that they're okaying anyone to resell...

To be fair, I'm sure these folks were just being responsible patrons and not over imbibing.

I wouldn't make the jump to conclusion that these folks are reselling them and if they are then they got another thing coming as Linds is straight up super detective when it comes to catching resellers. Basically, don't do it.

It would shock me if anyone who got in last night were the same folks that partake in the razzle and resell world.

This was one couple though, and the public limit was 3pp, so the dinner limit was 15 pp??

Dinner limit was a case per person. Then 1pp of FO and NC for Level Up, and 3pp for FO and 2pp for NC in the public sale. That's 14 bottles alone if they're both Level Up, 12 if only one of them is Level Up. It's safe to assume that if someone got into this dinner, they are at the very least Level Up. That's how you get to the 3 cases in the photo.

Last year it was a case, so a case plus the 3pp adds up if it's the same this year.

It's not necessarily the guys from the dinner. People list bottles from every release before they have any in hand. All the level up people are guaranteed at least 1 bottle and some put them up for sale before they have picked up. Sometimes you will notice a later ship date is listed after the public pickup has started.

The dinner has been 1 case of FO in the past so that's 2 cases for a couple. If they both had level up then that's 2 FO's and 2 NC's from level up sale plus 6 FO's and 4 NC's from public sale, 38 total bottles if they maxed out on everything.

Is there a forest of FO bottles?

    That's fucking insane. Sorry.

Insane. I need Perennial to start having a BAA dinner where I can get 38 bottles of BAA.

Well to be more comparable you'd want to request 32 bottles of BAA and 6 bottles of something 4 times more rare...

I was feeling a little jealous of that 38 bottle haul but then I realized that it cost nearly $1,000! I love beer but that's way beyond what I can justify spending on one release. I imagine that plenty of those bottles will get traded for other rare hyped pastry stouts so if that's the intent then more power to them. Now I just gotta figure a way to get invited to one of these people's bottle shares...

Thoughts on how crazy busy Saturday will be?

Will there be a "best" time to pickup or get pours?

or just wait till sunday ?

    Always wait till evening.
Not sure why line up so early, lines WILL be out the door at opening.

I went around 1pm on a Saturday release for GS and RS and it wasn't really that bad. Bottle pickups were in a different area and two bars inside. It flowed really well, never waited more than 8 minutes for a pour.
I'm cautiously optimistic it will be a well contained crazy.

Yeah I wouldn't show up at open but as that initial rush clears, it shouldn't be too terrible. If you're worried, just wait until Sunday.

So it was better than the Iridium Flare release? Maybe it was because of that IPA p/u release and that caused the problems. Not that it was crazy, but it did take around 90 mins just for the pickup.

I'm hoping that the new building will be available to help alleviate the traffic. /fingers crossed
