Need more berliners. They used to pump out a few at the cafe long ago. Nice to see some back on tap lists

It is quite good. They are also giving free samples of it at the General Store.

I'm fairly new to the Tired Hands scene, but Wish Fulfillment is my favorite beer from them thus far. I liked Grassman too but haven't had that in a year or so so I'd like to revisit

TH's fascinating experiments with supply/demand/crowd control/crowd creation continue...

Although some people speculated the Creamsicle was supposed to be canned but something "went wrong", I'd like to think of yesterday as an experiment that went very well. They offered a great beer that they have canned often enough that the hype has died down, with absolutely nothing new. Thus there was no line - I heard the longest it got was at opening and it was like 25 or something. Then they release a massive batch of a product that would bring a stamped - but it's growler only and they assured everyone the batch was massive. So you get a short line that took me 15-20 minutes to get a growler in...and of course I was drinking a cold beer in air conditioning while I waited.

That's a perfect release, in my opinion. Do that again, Tired Hands!

Not for nothing, they're also renting out an empty store front to run a store which seems to serve little actual business purpose that wouldn't be more efficiently met by other means and can't possibly be making money. The town probably likes that. And once the new parking garage opens up at Suburban Square, the borough's parking woes should be significantly lower.

I think that with people showing they are willing to line up in the middle of the day already, they should move can releases back a few hours, especially on Thursdays as that's a higher traffic day for bars and restaurants. The extra foot and car traffic is a potential boom for the town, but that must interfere with people trying to get around.

    That's Refreshing, not Grassman.

    "32oz Orange Creamsicle is still $18. $30 for 64oz."

And from a revenue perspective this 'experiment' went extremely well for Tired Hands. They would have received something like $25 for four-packs of Creamsicle (64 ounces total) but instead received $30 for a 64 ounce growler of Creamsicle. That is an additional revenue of 20%. If your boss called you into his office and told you they were going to give you a 20% raise in your pay how would you feel?

    Cheers!

Random question: If Tired Hands had started operations somewhere in South Jersey suburbs like where Spellbound is for example from the beginning instead of Ardmore, would they still have been as successful as they are now?

They would have not had nearly as much of my money no. I worked in Jersey for years back when I lived in Philly and I still consider it an island, there is such a mental barrier when it is a toll to come back no matter what bridge you cross. Maybe in the summer to and from the shore though...

There's also the fact that there is a dearth of breweries at Tired Hands's level in South Jersey, so they pull crowds of people from there too that might be otherwise spending money in Jersey.

Still wondering when South Jersey is going to get something at least on the level of Magnify or even Conclave. It's weird that every brewery that comes up in SJ plays it so safe...

Are you familiar with Brotherton? If so, what do you think of that brewery?

    Cheers!

A contender for sure. Draft accounts only though, so you gotta chase em and sometimes you're too late. They don't have a place you can visit yet.

So, it requires a bit of effort to drink their beers.

Sounds a bit like Tired Hands canned beers!?!

    Cheers!

brotherton is probably the best hoppy offering in SJ imo.. but they don't have much variety, it's crowlers/growlers only wherever you can find them, also the head brewer dude left and imo the beer hasn't been the same since.. i'm sure somebody was paying attention to what the dude was doing when brewing, enough to the point to replicate the brews etc.. But Brotherton is more or less Valenzano... Pretty sure jean used some valenzano wine barrels.... would be cool if TH got a NJ distro license so some places could get TH draft's from time to time... for me TH isn't far mileage wise but it may as well be when it takes an hr to go 19 miles... shit i'd rather drive the 60-70 miles to Kane since it takes just as long... at least i'm driving... with the parking situation over at TH now i really want to have to want something pretty bad to visit them.. it's too much of a pita
