The front of Bells website has a countdown clock to Monday for an announcement,

They don't typically circlejerk and over hype beer releases so it's probably something else. Any guesses?

    -New Funvitational
-Brewpub expansion into Detroit or Chicago
-Announcing the Bell's Chicago Sports themed bar Larry had wanted to do in Kalamazoo next to Bells a few years ago?

Larry's a diehard Cubs fan. I heard it's a brewpub down the block from Wrigley

He's turned down AB-INBev multiple times. No reason to take a check when he's already built a printing press. Now that his daughter is running the show, Larry gets to sit back, enjoy the fruits of the last 30 years and brew when he sees fit.

Hell of a gig if you can find it.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to be the one to jump start the rumor mill this time. My troll-fu is weak.

Someone just theorized it could be a potential west coast brewing operation, not unlike what Sierra Nevada and New Belgium have done with opening an east coast operation in North Carolina

I hope they copy founders and create a massive barrel aging program.

I hope they're announcing that they are going to build a free parking garage next to the cafe. :grinning:

That'd be really bizarre; I assume Founders would've taken out a trademark on those. :stuck_out_tongue:

This announcement is pretty exciting. I'm very interested to find out what announcement is more worthy of a countdown than announcing another (this time a $7 million dollar) expansion.

They have my vote! One rarely gives me a headache after a few too many and the other gives me a headache everytime I hear them.

    Take a guess.

They are completely rebuilding a lot of the area around wrigley so a brewpub in wrigleyville isn't that far-fetched

If there is one thing Bell's has made to not be an issue, it's parking. Never have any trouble parking in their multiple lot options. Hopcat is a different story in regards to dedicated lots.
