They're everywhere. Seems as though that's how they spend all their time.

Started with TinyPic, but switched to Imgur, a few months ago. Occasionally use Flickr.

Click the Share icon, then BBCode, then copy & paste BBCode directly into the comment box here. After the first time, when you click the share icon, the BBCode will come up automatically.

Postimage from an Android using the website. Easiest thing ever.

I started with Imgur when PhotoSUCKET screwed us.
However, quickly I have become a die hard fan of Postimage.
@jhavs it doesn't have an app. Just open the website and post pic, copy the direct link and post using the post image icon here.
    Simple, easy and works!!

    Love Postimage!!

Yeah, that's what I'll do. Imgur on my browser seems to work too now. Post image looks like a simpler option!

I started using Postimage tonight, and I think I'm gonna stick with it. It is a piece of cake using a browser on a phone, and actually lets me rotate the image if I had to (unlike TinyPic ). No need for an app, really...

Thanks to everyone here for the guidance!

OK - I went looking for the business model of Postimage, because they have to have some way to cover costs. Per the post on their blog in the link below, they are switching to a premium paid service if you want to continue using it without ads and with the pictures lasting over 31 days, but if you register you at least can have the picture last forever (for now anyway). They tried rolling it out but ran into problems with the payment system, so on hold temporarily. Anyone using it free now is on borrowed time. Not sure if websites such as BA will want image services showing ads, competing with their paid advertisers. If I were running a site with ads, I'd block an image service with ads.

Used to use Photobucket but not since they decided to charge $400 or what ever a year. Just can't pay for something that is free and the exact same thing from a dozen plus places. Been using postimage and has worked great so far. Crazy easy to use. Works just like Photobucket, just copy and paste a direct link and your done. You can make folders for different subjects, it can auto resize images for posting or keep them hi-res if you want. I haven't explored all the features, my need for image hosting is very basic and it is more than sufficient for me.

Yeah, I'd have balked at paying for Dropbox or any picture hosting service just to post images to forums, but I needed/wanted some place to stash another copy of my other pictures and files anyway.

Do you have to make the image "public" to be able to share it?

No. I have started using the "just me" option and it works the same.

Postimage rocks, I switched to this after photo**** hosed us all. It is super simple and very fast and no ads.

It rocks until they go premium and ads show up unless you pay, which is imminent. Some sites which have their own ad income will block images services with ads...

I am not sure if they are planning to do this, I just switched to them and it was pretty seamless. I don't like all the ads so if they do go that route one day I will be moving on also.

In my previous post I included a link to their site indicating they are doing it once they sort out an issue with their payment system, and describing the new options; premium registered, free registered, and anonymous. Both of the free options get ads. Since my previous post, they dropped the 31 day expiration for anonymous but they do say "currently" which seems to imply they may change that.

I started with Photobucket and never had a problem. After they turned to pay to post I went to Imgur and it was an easy fix. A word of advice though if you post pictures chose the just me option, this avoids the lurkers want to follow you.
