It has been a very long time since I have had the opportunity to start one of these. Starting off with a breakfast beer.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Should be another typical day. Laundry, bottle returns, and some OT work this afternoon to get ready for another busy week. Thankfully work has not been too crazy lately. I think the assembly plant is supposed to have have summer shutdown soon as well, which means I have less to worry about for now.

A top favorite pale ale since BP entered the state, just wish I could find it fresh more often. Finishing off the 6 pack. Flavors of pineapple, peach, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread/light caramel malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, herbal, spicy bitterness. Very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel. Increasingly drying, but never astringent. Fantastic bright Mosaic/Calypso hop complexity. Got a pack of Blackrocks Presque ale to fill the void last week.

Really delicious. Flavors of lightly tart/tangy cherry, berries, apple, maple, brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, oak, and lightly toasted bread; with lighter notes of cinnamon, nuttiness, and bourbon. Light bourbon/oak spice and fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-full bodied with nice grainy creaminess; slight fruit acidity, barrel tannin, and slick/syrupy fruit notes in the mouthfeel. A little drying from oak, but otherwise really well balanced. Not too sweet or heavy at all, very drinkable. Not a whole lot of bourbon, but barrel characteristics are all there with the vanilla and toasty oak/spicy notes. No warming ABV or boozy barrel character. Grabbed another 4 pack a couple weeks ago, because we got another shipment. Far from my favorite fruited or barrel aged Founders beer, but I really enjoy it a lot. Well worth buying again.

Fantastic! Glad these are in cans now. Not sure why they changed the style labeling from barleywine, it's the same beer. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, raisin, and pine; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nutty/toffee malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/rind/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; balanced bready creaminess and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins and increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Insanely drinkable, no warming ABV. This isn't as aggressively bitter as I expected. Definitely more tame than a fresh Bigfoot. 100% Columbus hops. Definitely keeping this in the fridge rotation-ally, along with all the other new Avery cans. The availability has become much more widespread locally in the last month. Completely delicious!

This is insane! Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, almond, vanilla, fudge, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, habenero pepper, dark bread, and cake batter; with lighter notes of molasses, toffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, and herbal pepper earthiness. Light herbal/roast/char bitterness and pepper spiciness on the finish. Full bodied with an awesome creamy/silky mouthfeel; touch of chalky roast and spice stickiness. Slightly drying from roast/spice. Hint of lingering pepper heat builds through the glass, never overwhelming. This was absolutely amazing. Pretty much perfectly balanced spice, coffee, cocoa, malt. Feels less sweet with a better mouthfeel than normal Biscotti Break. Very rich, but dangerously easy sipper. Still have not had Mexican Cake, hope to land it some day to compare. This just hit MI last week, definitely getting another or 3.

You're going to have to switch to a new image hosting site--PB fucked us all, without consent.

This one's going to go down really quickly--goes great with the weather.

Worked all night and put together way too ambitious of a NBS post. Taxman Exemption in the Westmalle chalice vs. Tallgrass Velvet Rooster in the Chimay chalice.
