Some nice eye candy working too. McKaela bartending is worth it just to sit there.

lol. There was a really drunk dude next to me at bar yesterday who wouldn't leave her alone. He should have been cut off and asked to leave. He was even touching customers. Thought he was gonna piss someone's boyfriend off and get in a fight.

 

Wanted to second this. I really liked the chai saison, different from anything I've ever had. I mostly just drank the non-canned stuff while there, had sips from the people I was with but they were all enjoyable for sure. Had dusty last night and it's pretty grassy, the amount of flavor you'd expect from an APA. We'll see on the DIPA and Rye IPA later.

Shocked they didn't have any barrel aged offerings. I kid I kid!

Agree on service. It was slammed but I was rarely going more than a minute without a server asking me what I wanted next.

Once the BA stuff comes out......there will be people camping overnite.

Lol, I forgot SO was doing one(shows you where they are at on my radar- don't make it out that way much), but It's a shot at anyone selling $20 4 packs these days that aren't premium barrel aged stouts. I'm pretty consistent with this opinion as evidenced by another thread with a MI brewery about 6 months ago...

 

I'm calling myself out. After hearing from a buddy how easy things went yesterday, I decided to make a quick run over this morning to grab some cans. Also had a sample of 'candies'. Beer had a bit of a green/vegetal taste to me. Good, but not great. Other than that it's a nice facility and the staff seemed attentive/friendly. Very excited to have another option out in the burbs. Saw a number of families with children which was nice.

 

Anyone eat there? Thoughts?

 

Limited menu for opening weekend but our group got the pretzel and the wings. Both were very solid.

 

Sliders and cheese curds were good

 

Second the cheese curds. Pretty tasty. Food service was quick too.

I'm looking forward to the full menu.

 

I heard full menu won't start for another week. Looking forward to that since the apps were all pretty solid.

 

I had Loose Candies on Saturday as part of a large share; tonight I cracked one & gave it my full attention.

In a word: disappointing.

Dry, boozy & not very fruit forward. Also, the mouthfeel was sticky like a goddamn American barleywine (I hate American barleywines). Average at best, and to my palate not even brewed to style.

My hopes were high for this beer and they were certainly not met. I'll be giving the other two a clean palate sometime this week.
