LIF: IVF for a friend

I am trying to raise some funds for one of my best friends and his wife. They have a 4 year old son, who they desperately want to have a sibling. Bryan and Michele are both great, loving parents, elementary school teachers, and very positive, healthy people. Not to mention being great friends to me and my family (and they don't know I am doing this).

Michele has not had any serious issues with getting pregnant, but she has had problems staying pregnant. As I write this, she has gotten pregnant successfully 5 times, and subsequently miscarried 5 times. This series of unfortunate events has caused a great deal of emotional stress for both of them and their families. After meeting with a fertility specialist, it was best determined that IVF would be a great solution to ensure a good egg due to Michele's age and previous miscarriages.

As you know, IVF is a very costly procedure, and in addition to having to borrow money from their families, they are securing a personal loan from the bank to help cover the costs. I would like to help in any way I can, so please take the time to consider donating in any way possible, and if money is not an option, please keep them in your thoughts.

Lastly, I do understand they have already been blessed with a happy and healthy child, so if this is not a cause you are interested in, no harm no foul. My hope is that I can help him in any way possible.

How the raffle will work:

• Contribution can be made here.
• Please put your BeerAdvocate handle in the comments and confirm in this thread so I can make sure I don’t miss anyone. I will create a list at the end and tag everyone, so let me know then if I miss you or anyone else.
• Every $5 you donate is good for one entry into the drawing.
• Entries close on August 31st. I will announce the winners on September 2nd. I will try to ship out by the end of September
• For every $500 raised I will draw a winner (1 winner for $0-499, 2 winners $500-999, etc)
• First winner will have choice of box, and continue in such order. The boxes will contain roughly 6 bootles.
