    Bad pic, amazing beer, smells like dank bud, has some great citrus notes that pop, a killer finish, clean as a whistle, bright and refreshing.

    I've found my first love once again in Atlantic County. Not as I remember but I'm happy. The woes of living on the shore is that the variety is limited to shore type things. The hour drive west was worth it......

    And was it ever worth it. Von Trapp Pilsner. So stoked I know where to find them in NJ. I picked up this, the helles and IPL....Cheers all.

    I'd seen it around for a week or two (?) but took a pass because it's brewed with guava puree - and while I'm not uptight about it, I've not often been impressed with pale ales featuring pureed fruits - with so much out there, I just grab something else, you know?

    Man, this is a beaut! Not a fruit bomb at all - big hop bitterness, lots of pine edge to keep the sugary fruits at bay - and honestly, if I didn't read it on the label, I'd have been oblivious to any guava puree impressions at all - the fruitiness, subdued as it is, came up mostly on the back-end as something vaguely tropical, maybe some banana and strawberry with a hint of lime... Smooth and clean-tasting - you can see the beer is clear and not some cloudy NE-style stuff... Modest carbonation, nice shellac on the palate, tight and fresh and clean - a real winner.

    What's funny is that when she recommended this, I put back my second can of Logical Choice, which I had (and loved) last night. Might have to go back for both (if they're still there :grimacing:)...

    Posthumous nod to Robin Williams - something of a comic icon for me, from his stand-up to Mork & Mindy to his films and other works...

    Don't get me started on the KitchenAid. When we got married 10 years ago, I made my wife get the stainless grey KitchenAid. This was back when I tried to make decorating decisions with her. (10 years makes a man wiser...) I still hear about it to this day how nice a tourquise one would look on our kitchen. :slight_frown:
