That expansion is a while off, they said they won't even be breaking ground on it until early 2018. And then permitting Anaheim signs off on everything speedily (which never happens; look at what's going on with Modern Times' Leisuretown) and things moved at a normal pace (tasting room expansion, barrel/brew house expansion), I'd guess it'd be completely done sometime in late 2018 or early 2019. The city's bureaucracy makes stuff like this move impossibly slow, even with the mayor's approval of local breweries.

Not too far off in the grand scheme, but in the short term it's still too early to even know what's going on. I'm likely completely wrong though, I'm sure @bottlelogiclindsay has more concrete details.

On their recent post, they said they're going through the final stages of building permits and anticipate breaking ground this fall and hoping it opens with the new year. *If everything goes well*

    Different perspective.

Also went to pick up my 3 FO bottles today. Part of a Bruery run to get my orders. Walked in, stood on the bar order line for a minute until I saw the sign saying Everbridge orders in the back. Walked into the back, third person in line. Two people in front of me, both had order issues, which were resolved quickly. My three bottles? license, check, here's your three bottles.

Left with the impression: Damn, I like this brewery.

Did bottle pickup today as well. 3 ppl back there, only one person actually working...whomever the girl was.

Bar line was a bit long, started outside the door but had a beer after about 25minutes or so. A tad long, but it was busy so I understand.

I will say that some of the patrons there are basically shit tier. Never understood how hard it was to take an empty glass back to the bar. Sat down at a table outside that had 8 glasses left there, as well as almost a dozen at the barrel table right next to it. We ended up taking most of them in, the rest one of the employees came out to grab them. Fuckin savages in that town...

NC - underwhelming at best, tasted like very cheap burnt chocolate and that a heavy barrel was needed to mask that (spoiler...it didn't)
FOb3 - much better than b2 off draft, looking forward to cracking a bottle this week.

Agreed on NC. So underwhelming. FOMO was my favorite.

    Maybe it's just me.

But calling out out Bottle Logic's patrons as 'shit tier", at least of me, emphases everything that is wrong with those of us that like high end beer. It really stinks of snobbery.

I suspect @SDReaper didn't mean it that way. But I think those of us that have been doing this for many years need to bit more welcoming rather disparaging.

After all if your having a beer at Bottle Logic, its hard at least for some us to think of these people as " shit tier"

And my experience has been that many of the high gravity BL offerings are even better out of the bottle.

As for savages, I know that service includes cleaning tables, but I agree, bring 'em back to the bar.

My "shit tier" buddy came with to the FO release. He doesn't like stouts, so he couldn't wait in the back bar line (5 minutes or less) and instead waited in the full bar line (45 minutes) to get pours of recursion. Watching him crawl trough the line in the time it took us to drink all three pours was my favorite BL experience ever.

I'm still waiting for Nobles expansion that they promoted two years ago at their anniversary party.

It does, the bar back is usually the one out there cleaning the tables...but if they have to get out from behind the bar to clean up what ppl left because they couldn't be bothered to walk the 10ft to return the glasses then that is time spent not helping those that are in line ordering, or emptying the dishwasher so that those that are serving have glasses to quickly serve others.

Especially on busy days...bringing back glassware should be an automatic thing. You don't leave dirty dishes on your table after dinner...why should you do it at someone else's "house" ???

Oh, and didn't someone mention a stretch limo showing up on release day? There was a stretch humvee limo this time while I was there.

I also used the term some of the patrons are shit tier. Obviously there are good ones out there, but on busy releases like this (well the week after the release) I tend to assume more shit tier than not. I see the same at Alesmith. Spent many nights closing down Alesmith and then helping clean up by grabbing glassware from tables both inside and out...occasionally even from the male restroom. Same at Modern Times...basically any brewery. The similarities tend to be the general age of these patrons as well as whether or not they came in with a group. It is interesting behavior to watch.

Come to think of it, I should have used the term customer instead of patron...although patron would apply in a few cases seeing a few groups that seem to be mostly full of LevelUp individuals act like douche canoes and leave trash and glassware on tables as they were leaving.

Went today to pick up my FO bottles. Pulled up about 5 minutes before opening. About 20 people in front of me. Pickup was easy as they had the back section for bottles pick ups. Got my bottles, got in line for some pours. Had a taster of FO, NC and Iridium Flare. FO was tasting awesome. I'm a fan of beers of the sweet side, but Iridium Flare was too much. And Number Crunch was amazing. Loved it. Regret not getting bottles. Even gave my wife a sip and she enjoyed it and was shocked at how much it did taste like a chocolate bar. Within about 15 minutes the lines were gone. The wife and I and the kids then had a rousing game of Uno. I won, btw.

Opened bottles of FO and NC this weekend. FO was good as always, NC tasted much better out of the bottle. Less burnt chocolate, more cocoa and vanilla.

I'm going to have to agree with this. More than I've ever seen, there were empty glasses EVERYWHERE there on Saturday. Whether or not that's a reflection of their normal customers, I don't know. I don't spend a ton of time there but it did strike me as odd that there were racks of tasters and empty glasses all over the place.

And I agree with what others have said about FO versus NC. I didn't like NC nearly as much but I'd like to try it out of the bottle before I make a full determination. Regular FO was delicious as always and at least on draft, NC muted a lot of the flavors in FO that I like.
