Howdy! I am - very loosely considering - travelling there from Houston on Sunday. I say "loosely" because Ive already made a lot of JK beer trips this year.

Their Facebook post said they bottled 8,800 500ml bottles this year. Thats a lot. In fact, I think its the most theyve ever done.

To that end - I feel come Sunday they should still have a least 3 bottles waiting there for me if I decide to go. CHEERS!

If you follow Jester King on Facebook or Twitter, these releases are getting comical at this point with what some people are willing to do for a bottle of beer. Almost as bad as what I've read in the Great Lakes forums during some Chicago releases.......

Yeah, Jester King posted on FB and Twitter at 9:28AM that there were already 50 people in line for today's magnums. They followed that up with a FB post asking people to not show up before sunrise on Saturday and Sunday. Don't get me wrong Atrial is a great beer, but with 8,800 500mL bottles available, I think it will last the weekend even with a 3 pp limit. I've been to other Atrial releases and none have been more than 2 pp, with one of the more recent ones being 1pp.

I'm guessing that means there will be cars lined up down the road waiting to get in at sunrise, and a chaos as people try to park and get in line before everyone else. Should be interesting....

Today (Saturday) there were already 50 people in line for magnums before the sun came up. On FB people were posting pics of cars lined up on the main road at 2am. I doubt JK does a release like this again, maybe a lottery next time or a silent release of magnums. Other than the magnum nonsense I'm glad to see the high bottle count on Atrial.

Wow, the least people can do is respect the breweries request. But, them whales bro, or whatever the going term is.

The pre-dawn lineup was very civilized. I was there at 5 AM and I am practically the last person who got a bracelet. I saw no dischord or any issues. Of course there were a few people grousing that they missed out, but frankly that is the nature of this kind of limited release.

Anything other than this is a stretch. I'd say the locals did a great job of self-policing this release thus far.

Jester King should post tonight on Twitter if they have any Atrial left.

Based on what I saw at the brewery today, I would bet they sold out of everything except Sunday's 50 magnums, but that's just a guess.

I think your the first person I've seen admit to being a lame ass and breaking JKs request by showing up before Dawn. Congrats.

I'm actually friends with them, and cleared my intention to wait outside the property with Eric on the evening before, when I was picking up beer they donated to me for a raffle i am hosting for our fallen friend Tucker. Also, I drove 10 hours each way in order to participate in this release. I doubt many others took as many steps to be courteous to the people living on the property as I did sir.

About 1200 bottles left for Sunday, I didn't think all 8800 bottles would sell out this weekend, but at this rate they probably will.

How so? I only stopped by Friday night. No real interest in magnums for me; I respected the breweries wishes was not on property before sunrise.

That's a hefty haul for his memorial. I didn't know the guy, but good on you for making the trip. Personally, I still think its crappy for you and others to be onsite pre-dawn, and find it mars the beer community as a whole.

Thank you for the kind words. That said, we weren't onsite as we respected their wishes and waited outside on the shoulder until daybreak, before moving to the parking lot. There was a line of cars but everyone shut down the engines and turned off their lights. I was quiet and made an honest effort to not make noise while we waited for the parking lot to be unroped. I believe this was the case for most other people as well. There was a couple of uppity guys that were young and excited but were shussed soon thereafter by the man and woman who were taking everyones' names down. If you were there, I think you would have seen the respect you are assuming wasn't there, but truly was.
