What's unreasonable about lowering limits to 3 4 packs per beer? What's the big deal, as mentioned by others there's other breweries successfully doing it.

It's also worth nothing that at one point sixpoint was the de facto cool up and coming brewery in NYC and then this whole new haze craze scene started and i'm not sure about their numbers but they are probably getting some stiff competition across NYC. OH should probably find a way keep the locals happy who supported it in the early stages and aren't fond of lines because they could be the sixpoint of today and could use the same local support later unless they start distributing nationally.

And yet you can probably count on one hand the number of posts discussing the taste of the beer

That's because most of us can't get the chance to try it, hence all these posts...

OH has been good about responding to our bitching on this forum in the past, so I have hope they will come around on this. But for now, like someone else mentioned, it seems like OH is fine with the status quo and all the publicity that comes with it. I don't blame them for it...

Their beer tastes great, probably why everyone wants cans.

along these lines, I had my first Greenpoint (easily accessible at Whole Foods) beer, Continuous Feedback, and it was absolutely delicious. Makes me look forward to checking out the brewery and I surely won't pass over there beer ever again. Especially since I can get their beers without a 3 hour wait.

You dont have to wait 3 hours to get Other Half. If you go there today you can get pours and growlers and I guarantee you the line will take less than 3 hours.

Everyone loves their "beer," you can get it. Its a Large difference, because I can get OH beer whenever I want, I cant get Side Project beer whenever I want,

Let me specify...I can't get my preferred vehicle of beer consumption without waiting 3 hours in line. Yes, I know that I can walk in to the tap room and get a pour or a growler, but my preferred method is a 12 or 16 oz can. I can enjoy a can right now or sit on it for a couple of weeks to a month and enjoy it.

I wasn't speaking to the accessibility of OH beer to me, personally... my point was that having beer available in crowlers will mean even more of it being purchased strictly for out-of-state trades, which is not in the best interest of most current OH patrons.

And this is the root of the entire discussion. People feel entitled to get OH's beer in the vessel that they prefer most. Wah wah.

We have been getting Sixpoint here in FL for at least 2yrs. So cans and draft. Noy a valid argument. Once OH starts producing enough to ship cans into NYC then maybe the lines will be shorter

the root of the argument is OH can allow locals a better chance of getting a few 4 packs if they would just halve the limits. They'd rather cater to out-of-state and out-of-touch individuals like above.

again, no other brewery has the limits and plays into the hype like other half. before they started DDH'ng everything and were cranking out dank DIPAs and TIPAs like Green Diamonds and AGE they were in amazing shape. They are now promoting that linelife culture so some jerk from florida can feel entitled to be able to trade for any beer.

I don't think anybody here has sounded entitled. They've simply advocated for changes that might make an excellent beer more accessible to them.

It does beg the question though, if limits were lower, would traders come here and complain? Or do they go to BeerTradingAdvocate.com or something like that? Asking for a friend.

When have OH been super responsive to BA feedback in this thread? Genuine question and I'm possibly having a brain fart memory blank about something major, but other than Kanger, never seen much activity in here by the guys there. And Kanger usually avoids drama and just answers limits/batch size questions and suchlike.

Not knocking them at all, but BA effectiveness seems to vary brewery by brewery depending on how active they are in here (Grimm being a stellar example). I feel like with OH some in-person feedback would be more productive than complaining in the thread.

Complaining about how inconvenient it is for one to purchase a $20 4 pack of beer is pretty much the epitome of sounding entitled.

So in the last year OH went from 1 release ever other week with lowish limits to a release every Saturday with higher limits and mid week can drops and people are having terrible getting cans??? Just I'm the last month DDH ACE lasted till the next day, pig Beach, forever ever, on the Daly, DDH ain't nothing nice lasted FOR MULTIPLE DAYS. COIR boys sold out after 3pm. I get that the monkish release was crazy but every other release for the past month you could stroll up hours or days later with no line and get cans and growlers. Trillium will sell out of dial the 7 digits today with a 2 four pack limit. Any good colab will bring big lines and early sell outs. Unavoidable at this point but it's not that hard to get cans, and it's way easier than 12 months ago.

Well I've answered the same questions multiple times, that's why I don't post much anymore.

Yes we are expanding and the new tap room is almost done (waiting on ConEd), yes more beer will be produced, yes more cannings will happen every week and more cans will be available during the week.

As for limits on beer, I can't speak to that. That's not my department. I just put the beer into the cans.
