Hey all,

Not sure if this is the right place for this question or not, so feel free to direct me to the right place if needed.

Can anyone help me understand why my karma points dropped a good 50-60 or so, maybe more? This jump dropped me back to Initiate too. I dk when it happened, but was fairly recently. I haven't gotten any warning points, no bad trader issues or even neutral feedback, my participation is the same as always, etc. I know it says points can change w/o warning, which I've had happen before with a few here and there, but not to this extent. Anyone else experience this? Not losing sleep over it, just don't know why it dropped so much.

 

Yeah, I lost about 60 points as well.

 

I’m guessing the fact I unsubscribed is why I lost around 60 points. Given the fact that I check this site more frequently than my email, it balances out.
Is there a way to only receive region specific email?

 

I've already decided not to hunt karma, just trying to be good.

Otherwise this could turn out another job...

 

My wife re-upped my subscription for a year back in Sept 2017, so it's not that. And actually now that I look again, I've still never been given a Subscriber banner and I'm on year 2 of subscribing. I assumed it had something to do with it being gifted, so I read the FAQs on it back in the fall, had my wife assign me to primary account on the subscription, and still nothing. Any help available here @Todd would be great.

I've not unsubscribed to emails, nor has my wife. Other avenues I can explore here?

The only change I've made somewhat recently was removing my current online status. What can I say, I'm naughty and check in at work occasionally on my lunch or after work hours when I'm working late. Would that do it?

EDIT - damn, somehow I did accidentally unsubscribe to emails. I blame beer and late night surfing. Stupid hobbies... Still would be interested in any insight on the Subcriber issue above. Thanks all.

 

All I know is I had almost 1000 and it knocked me back down to like 150 and initiate after 2 years of posts. Barely even login anymore seems pointless unless I really have to say something

 

I too *believe* that. I typically do a written review of a beer and do maybe 1-2 a week. Not long after entering a review the score goes up a point. Similarly, I found some notes I thought I'd lost and entered a review of a place that I'd only rated. Not long after the Karma score went up another point. I participate freqently in certain threads. It takes lots of posts/likes to see an increase in Karma score.

 

Saw one of my beers lacks photo. May as well add that and hope for the best.

Kind of a "soft" way to start reviewing.
