Dangerous road to go down--they're so tough to get and so damn good. Possibly my favorite NE style brewery...possibly.

    At least you're relatively nearby!

That's the date I had on most of my bottles, as I recall. Guessing only brewed once :slight_frown:

    This, however, I hope isn't:

Ocelot Wandering Soul. Just reviewed it, And enjoyed the sampler, but this is an example of why you grab actual full pours for a good analysis.

This beer shocked me as a sneaky NE-ish IPA. The oat (or wheat... asked - barkeep said maybe) adds a feel. The citrus-leaning but restrained bitterness actually reminds me just a little bit - of Alien Church. Not there, but has some similarities in my warped mind.

    Cheers!

Terrific German-style pilsner from Daredevil Brewing. The quality and variety of their German-style ales and lagers is really impressive. Nice niche they are carving out in addition to their solid IPAs and JWP stout. Cheers.

I've had some good beers tonight. That said, this one buries them all. Sorry, Tree House. The moment I taste this one, I'm having s*x again for the first time. Apologize for the blunt assessment, but I always try to do it in taste. Cheers, advocates.

Starting my clinical rotations in the labor and delivery/birthing unit on Saturday (prayers are accepted and encouraged).. so I figured an increase in beer consumption might ensue for the upcoming week.

Anyways, I am so glad Lakewood started bottling their "seduction series" variations of The Temptress in 12 oz 4 packs instead of bombers.

French Quarter Temptress, an imperial milk stout brewed with lactose sugar, vanilla, bourbon barrel aged coffee beans and chicory.

This is incredible as always, as is any variation of The Temptress.

My usual Friday and Saturday night routines are to end on a Bob Ross episode at like 2am. After some pretty intense TV shows and/or movies beforehand, good ol' Bob makes the transition to bedtime much easier .

BTW, am I the only one who remembers William Alexander painting in exactly the same style before Bob had his show? He was another lovable nutjob, but in a completely opposite sort of way.

Good afternoon, all, and welcome to today's episode of Vase or No Vase? I found this on a thrift-store shelf with a bunch of vases. I immediately recognized it as an ergonomic tumbler  and happily shelled out the $1 asking price. No maker's mark on it, but it holds 16 ounces. That settles it as far as I'm concerned. It works perfectly with this post-mowing Stillwater Insetto, a dry-hopped sour with Italian plum. This stuff really hits the spot!

I didn't get to post from a little dinner and tasting I had with some friends yesterday. They supplied the food, I supplied the beer. I think I may have gone a little heavy on the ABV, but I say you can't go wrong with two American Strong Ales. Not pictured is a homebrewed Kölsch from @Strike00. It was served with the first round of appetizers, so it was long gone before I could get a pic. :slight_frown:

My office just hired one of the interns from last summer. It's my job to train him, and I've decided to do it Mr. Miyagi style. That dude gets results! :sunglasses:
