There's a well known SoCal beer guy who loves to show off his magnum bottles on his IG account along with the countless whalez he receives.

Makes me wonder if these types of guys are actual beer drinkers since I see nothing but limited releases and such on their pictures.

Just open right after taking it out of the fridge and slowly sip over the next 30-60 min. to see how the flavor profile changes as it warms.

Personally, I'm a cold beverage person, so although the flavors come out as it warms, I usually don't like the beers too warm. My dad actually bought me something called Fizzics, which uses vibration to bring out the flavors of the beer while it's still cold. I was skeptical at first, but it really works, so not I get a lot more flavor while the beer is colder.

So is START the final konami code release? I would hope they would do something big to celebrate the full code completion (maybe some epic nerd merch!?)

Looking forward to the pick up tomorrow, hoping to time it well to avoid a shitshow but prepared for the show of shit nonetheless. Cheers to great beer!

"30 Lives" is a cuvee of all the previous released konami code beers, plus every stasis release just because.

    Is this for real?
At 55.3 degrees exactly. Anymore or less and youll screw up the way it was intended to be sipped.

To be real, serving temperature does mater.

Exactly 55. 3? No. But 55F is generally a good starting point for a BA stout.

Does that mean the beer is ruined at any other temperature, no of course not.

On the other hand , if you have bought a high end bottle, why not drink it at optimal conditions.

@HopHead89, your question is not only not stupid, but it is welcomed.

    Temperature does matter.

Here now picking up and the line is pleasant, the crowd is calm and the people are chill. Zero shit show to report of. Love this place.

Has anybody noticed or cared about the pricing on the pour at BL, mostly on the stasis release?

I took a notice during the WoL event and the week after.

    - 4oz/4.50 = 1.125 per oz
    - 6oz/7 = 1.166 per oz

Is this normal at other breweries? I mean it's a quarter more at that rate, but more on the principle. Wonder why?

Why are beer nerds so damn cheap? Do you know how much you would pay for a top notch glass of wine? $50 Why are we listening to people counting cents? Get a life or a better job so u can afford a $7 glass of beer. Stop boring us with your untitled bs. Why do you think you eserve e the best beer for a dollar?

Fast on the status trigger, aren't ya?

Don't get me wrong. I'd paid for it many times, but figured if it was a standard practice or not. What's so wrong with questioning things. Are we all lemmings? Jeez...

You are using a poor analogy. The most expensive bottle of beer I've ever seen is $1500. The most expensive bottle of wine I've ever seen is $40k but I'm sure prices go higher than that. The difference between those numbers are so disparaging that it makes your critique mute. You can't compare beer and wine sales. You don't see billionaires buying bottles of beer but it happened every day with wine (people paying high prices for anything drives those prices even further skyward) When there is a descrepency with price it should be pointed out. There was an instance in this forum where a bottle of FS was priced at $60 or some crazy nonsense, Some stink was raised and guess what??? The price was changed $20 less!
People's questions about pricing issues not unit are just but they m CAN make a difference for EVERYONE.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but didn't START taste like a sweet malty syrupy mess to anyone else?!? Didn't even finish a 4 oz taster. I'm shocked these sell out.

Normally, tasters are more expensive. But I think the idea with the Stasis Project prices come into play when there are long pour lines. So, essentially a 6oz pour should be $6.75. But, I'll gladly pay a quarter for to not have to stand in a long pour line again.

I'm also a fan that BL Stasis tasters are cheaper per ounce with the tasters. It's good for us as beer consumers, just buy the cheaper per oz. option, if if you don't want to wait in line then buy the full pour. No complaining on my end.

What, first most people use cards to buy their beers so a quarter shouldn't matter. Also, only on release day where there crazy lines. I went the following Friday at around 1, sat down and had a pour in maybe 5 minutes.
