The last versions of the DD Double Vanilla have been really, really good, too. I'm no nillahead, but I'm a fan of being able to buy it at will.

Not at North Dock, unfortunately. Can't speak for South.

Pretty certain it was on at North last year (I'm almost certain that was a crowler I bought), but not recently. No clue about right now. Grapevine should have bottles, though.

Not sure if anyone has a bottle of Genius Wizard, but open it and drink it. Delicious right now!

My brother got me a bottle of Genius Wizard back around Chistmas. It was good, but mine was almost completely devoid of carbonation. I had wondered if the plane ride did something to it, but the bottle of Darkness and Malice he got me was perfect. So don't think that had anything to do with it.

Related note, got together with him this past week. He brought me a 12 oz bottle of GD BA Yeti, which I'm excited to try. Said they had a party a while back and a friend came over with a GD mixed 12 pack. Like many parties, that 12er didn't get opened. A few weeks back he opened it to get some in the fridge and there were 3 gold foil wrapped bottles looking up at him. All 3 were BA Yeti. He was pretty surprised by that. I couldn't find anything on GD doing this, just that they change the bottles up seasonally. Anyone heard of this or had this happen to them?

GD changed the format for BA Yeti. They're all 12oz bottles now.

Sorry, wasn't clear enough. I knew about the oz format change. I guess my question was more about had anyone seen three bottles of BA Yeti in one GD 12 mix pack?

Never seen BA Yeti, but do remember finding a retired beer (Hades) in one last year or so. Also, they did release 12oz of Oatmeal, Chocolate, and Espresso Yeti in some of the Big Show 12 packs. Each contained one of the Yetis x3. To hear that someone found some BA Yeti in one is not surprising.

That's the one! He said it had an Espresso Yeti in it too. Said that was a pretty great beer also. Thanks.

Sounds like he hit gold. Each BA Yeti goes for $10+, which far exceeds the cost of the 12 pack. My last GD had zero Yeti, but then I went with cans in July.
It could have been a mix up with BA being put in instead of regular. But there's just as good of a chance that was an intentional "SURPRISE!"

That would be an awesome surprise. Somewhat related, the next Yeti is going to be Chai Yeti.

I recall a lot of speculation about this (maybe even a borderline confirmation) when the Spice Trade/Yak & Yeti rebrand was announced.

Maple Snowed In is a thing that happened today, and I, for one, thought it was great. The maple sweetness is huge up front with more freshly emptied barrel notes coming out as it warms. The coffee is very subdued in this version, but I really enjoyed the draft pours I drank. I will probably open a bottle within the next few weeks to compare.

Was that taproom only or will there be any distro?

Picked up Saint Newcole today at ODD13's Barrel Day. This beer is incredible! The rum barrel and vanilla beans really stand out. If you guys get a chance to buy/try, don't pass it up!
