Help Toppling Goliath

I'm making a 3hr drive there on Monday just to grab some food and beer.

BTW - saw you're in Brookfield! It's where I grew up and am going back to visit on Wednesday. Funny!

Win or lose to the cows doesn't matter to me....what does matter is how many of you have and are helping us! I am very humbled and honored to have you- most of you I have never met - pitch in and help!

Let me know when you are in Decorah or join us at a beer fest some where so I can shake your hands, and properly thank you with a pint!

I am very approachable and love to talk about any beers, our beers and what you do and don't like about them, our industry and life in general!

Although the cows are pulling away, I do think that levon15 is correct that if we can go viral on Friday the 19th, (the last day to vote) we can pull it off!

Either way our new brewery expansion is going well. Our new brewing equipment (4 vessel 30 bbl) will begin shipping soon, and our new bottling line is still on schedule for November delivery.

Hopefully we will be in full production and offering tours by the time we release the 2013 Assassin (shooting for late January).

 

And, just voted again. Hey, it's like the old days in Chicago. Even the dead vote.

 

Finally had a chance to try some TG in DSM last night - had the Pseudo Sue and the Millennium Falcon (Nugget was kicked, sadly). Really enjoyed the brews, and look forward to seeing them in MN soon!

Been pushing the vote as much as I can. Keep up the good work, guys - hope to visit you in Decorah sometime...

WTF? down by 220? B.S. I hate to say it, but I finally posted to FB. I've voted a dozen times or so, and I can't believe they aren't in the lead. I haven't yet been able to enjoy Toppling Goliath yet, (YET!), but as a former Iowan (born in Fort Dodge) who now lives in Minnesota, I can't WAIT to enjoy their beers.

***As a side note, last Christmas, I stopped in Mason City looking for TG bottle sales and I asked a liquor store owner if they carried TG. The owner and a few other fellas were sitting around B.S.'ing, and the owner said he never heard of TG. The distributor happened to be there, and he said, "Really? Well, you will." Classic moment. 5 (including today) days left, let's help 'em out!!!

 

I keep voting, but holy hell, someone really wants those damn cows to win.

Yeah, finally got to sample Milennium Falcon and Pseudo Sue at El Bait on Saturday. Enjoyed them both and can't wait to have them more readily available down here.

 

For some reason people will do evertything to help the American farmer, even though they get all kinds of subsidies. Brewers need subsidies too dammit.

 

Summer of 2013 will let us begin the journey north with a small trickle, as we add production it will become a powerful river of hoppy beer!

 

Can't wait! Everytime I head from the twin cities back down to Elkader where I grew up, I stop buy and grab a growler or two of Psedu Sue, Milinium Falcon and/or GNug. You guys are killing it!

A bunch of my HS friends stayed back on the farm when I leftor college. They weren't the brightest bulbs on the tree, but damn are they persistent. Down with the cows!

 

I don't want to flood the forum with another TG thread, so I'll post this here.

Made the drive down to TG from the Twin Cities and had an amazing time. Clark (tgchief) took 2hrs out of his busy day to sit with us, talk life, talk beer (general), talk beer (TG) and really wanted to just pick our brains...as consumers. What is apparent is his passion for putting out an incredible product, his respect for the craft beer community and his desire to grow TG.

For anyone thinking about making the drive down - do it! Clark & his staff are top notch and I thank them greatly for their hospitality.

 

I completely agree with DoctorRock. These guys are great people, and make outstanding beer. I need to visit on Thursday to get some of that new Riwakan Dead.
