"Does 'anyone' drink Oskar Blues anymore?" What a dumb question.

    Yes.

BA Ten Fidy isn't the rarest thing in my cellar, but it's one of my most prized possessions.

We in NJ also recently got Cigar City beers - ours (and I'd bet yours) are brewed at Oskar Blues' brewery in Brevard, NC and are so labeled.

I often hit the tap room here in ATX for a draft or cask beer and love Death by Coconut. Kind of wish they were a bit more active in the ATX beer scene. They seem to be just there.

I'm with OP to some regard. I used to circulate buying the O.B. lineups more regularly years ago, because they were solid and not much out there to compete with my beer budget. Now adays, just too much competition so I haven't bought many of them in quite a while. I'll still grab a can of Ten Fidy or Old Chub every 6 months or so. Those are both great beers and good value IMO. If Oskar Blues releases new beers, I'll try them. If I love them, I'll repeat buy. If its just solid, probably not..just too much competition.

I'm mad that I passed on the BA Ten Fidy. Was feeling too cheap at the time, and the price was kinda high. If it comes out again, I'll suck it up and buy a can to try.

While not on my "regular" list, I buy Ten Fidy, Death By Coconut, G'Knight and Dale's.

I had ten FIDY once several years ago when everyone on BA was falling over themselves for an opportunity to praise it and declare their love of it, and put it on their gotta have whales list.

While I thought it was good, IMO, there are quite a few other RIS's that are better.

Oscar Blues is available here, but it does seem to collect dust in many bottle shops.

I did when they first arrived, with the opening of the NC brewery. Over the last year or so, no. Everything I see is ollllddddd. Even when just arrived.

How can you buy BA Fidy regularly? As far as I saw, it came out Novemberish last year and quickly sold out...

Because very thankfully for me, I live in a market where people just do not seem to buy it and it just sits (even more thankfully in a refrigerated setting). I bought a half case initially (over the period of a week because it was initially a 1 per person limit) and then the rest wound up sitting.

I actually saw 4 of them in a different store just two days ago (and they have another half case in the back). Bought one to replace the one i wound up drinking from my cellar that night.

And UNFORTUNATELY, the rum BA death by coconut that came here inexplicably sold out in a day (I did get a taste on tap). Im not sure its a "better" beer, but it definitely has a smaller niche in the craft market and I would have loved to cellar one or two

I notice this a lot. I don't know if our distributor just has a bunch of old stuff, but some of Dale's and the IPA have even come in dated 2016... but then we get Ten Fidy or Old Chub and it's dated like yesterday. Very weird.

Just saw Marshall Zukov on the shelf this week under $15. Jai Alsi has been around awhile, but it's not my favorite IPA. I've got on aging a bit so I didn't buy, but it's nice to know I can replace it.

Same here on the Dales, once every couple months will pick up a sixer. Classic

Maybe they have a marketing/messaging problem, because Candemonium is Great Divide's mix pack.
Quite a CANundrum for Oscar Blues. (CANneling @woodychandler )

I'm not arguing with you, Ten Fidy is reasonably priced for such a well-regarded beer.... but for the sake of discussion North Coast Old Rasputin, Bells Expedition, and Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout are in a similar ballpark of price and ratings.
