The salt on that Instagram thread is delicious. Whiny entitled pricks. Don't like the package? Don't buy it.

Well I doubt folks who are complaining about the cash gra, I mean package, are going to be purchasing it.

I think they might not be realizing the target audience of the people who buy their beer when thinking up this collab...

It was a bottle I was saving... kept it at 54 degrees since release.

Would anyone be willing to proxy 95 til infinity if they aren't getting it themselves? I would love to send a thank you box of NE hops for your troubles.

Well... looks like, similar to Lost Abbey, Abnormal has found the neckbeard threshold...

I hate to rag on Abnormal, I like them. I would consider buying the set if the beer was great, I'd find a way to justify the purchase haha. It was just underwhelming at the preview last week...

How long until they take it down and say, "sold out"

Is this officially the weirdest requirement ever for buying a brewery's flagship beer? I've heard of bundles with other beers and glassware before... but at least those are beer related.

At least you can sport some sweet shades while watching craft beer jump the shark.

I doubt it sells out today. $145 for 1 bottle of beer is a lot.

$145 for the beer and sunglasses that will forever identify you as a person who bought this package so that you get the ire of angry beer people forever. The gift that keeps on giving.

I like Abnormal stuff, but this is hard to justify since you can't try the sunglasses on, and well, sometimes you just don't need another pair of sunglasses.

It's cool that they're trying new stuff, but then I can see some others point of views that this seems like more pastry stout hype training. As long as they're not doing line up releases I'm still OK though.

Still want to try this on tap, anyone been in to Abnormal and know if this or Makaveli are still on?

I always felt Abnormal charged waaay too much for their bottles. Especially with it not being a BA stout. Their beers are awesome, but I think this was pretty ridiculous. Why not just offer both separate? Why make people have to buy a pair a glasses they'll never want to wear?

Blah blah blah, I know I don't have to buy it, but it shouldn't stop people from shitting on them on IG or anywhere else. They dropped the ball here, IMO, now they have to deal with it. No company should be above criticism when trying pull something like this. It's not a case of being entitled. It's simply calling out a company on their bullshit. Most companies that offer glassware or other Merch, don't make you buy said gear along with their bottles. Those that do, suck too.

Have to agree with the majority on this one. Abnormal makes great beer and C&C food is exceptional but this collaboration is laughable. Would like to know how many 'packages' they end up selling. 6? 11? I'd be shocked if they sell 20.

    LOL @ this guy.

HeyBeerme: One day I walked into @JohnniesJohns to buy a new toilet. The owner saw that I did beer. He offered to build our new space for almost free, and thats when the collaboration was born. After years of legal back and forth, we decided to get serious on this collaboration. The result was my first barrel aged beer, paired with a waterless toilet, and a custom glass. No more toilet water splashing your butt. Johnny's patent pending waterless toilet will change the way you go #2. Tomorrow, make sure to pick our barrel aged collab "Dry #2" and your waterless toilet. Toilet must be installed and put in place to receive the bottle and custom glass. $185, before fees. Very limited quantities!

Agreed. Customers want options, not a one choice bundle with products some of us don't exactly have faith in.
