Yes the new ghost tropic is very good. I liked the first batch and this one blows it away. Aroma hits you in the face and it has an unreal sweet smooth finish.

Check out their new Berliner as well. Very fruit forward with a little sour bite on the back end. This is a summer crusher.

Stopped in today to try Ghost Tropic. As BJ said, the only thing it shares with the first batch is the name. Man it's good.

Others have described it well, but here are my thoughts. Thick and syrup-like. Low carb, no hop bite. Sweetness on the back end and the alcohol is hidden well. I think BJ posted a picture of a can of nectar...yep, that sounds about right. I just need to figure out which night I'm taking down the howler I took home as I'm guessing the next morning won't be fun, haha.

Finally had the chance to crack a can Of Snoochie, and its tasting awesome, creamy mouthfeel, citrus, and slight bitterness at the end... perfect balance.
The bitterness is just enough to remind u that's it's not juice, other wise you could pound can after can of this!
    Great job FR!

Which NE styles are available for growler fills today? Website says Radio and Atomic--assuming that's not current. TIA.

Went to Forbidden Root last night. Man, the new Ghost Tropic is awesome. Way, way, way better and and ahead of the first batch. Really great, super thick hop juice. Absolutely loved it.

Was cool to get to try the Pipeworks Stay Gold and the Bent River Strawberry Milkshake IIPA on the guest taps but I wasn't too impressed by either one. They ended up being just short stop detours from the Forbidden Root beers in my night as I quickly went back to Radio Swan and Ghost Tropic for the rest of my evening.

When I was there last night it was Radio Swan and Ghost Tropic.

Cracked a Snoochie last night. Great juice bomb. Radio Swan is still reigning champ for me. Excited to try the new Ghost Tropic.

I lucked into a quick stop at forbidden root last night and I was very impressed. Only got to try ghosts tropic but thought it was great and grabbed a growler for the road. Very cool space and food looked interesting as well. Any place that can put cheese and crackers on the menu where the crackers are "a sleeve of ritz" is doing something right. Hoping I can get back there sometime soon with friends and try more.

My thoughts to a T. After having a number of radio swans the last few days, the Snoochie left me wanting that little extra bite that is present in radio swan.

I'm really hoping to give this iteration of Ghost Tropic a try to see how it compares.

And having been fortunate enough to have some Treehouse, Trillium, Hill Farmstead and Alchemist in the past week, I feel pretty happy that we're seeing some consistently good NEIPA offerings in the area. While those are still the upper echelon of beers of that style, the desire/need to trade is being decreased with each new local release.

    I got got asamp
I got a Ghost Tropic sample last night and it is sweeter/less bitter than Snoochie. I like some bitterness is this style so I opted, again, for the Radio Swan.

Oh my, the radio swan cans are drinking awesome right now. Crack one if you have em!

Next up is a snoochie and following it up with some ghost tropic. It's a FR sunday.

Getting off-topic a bit but Bent River is local to me and consistently average, sometimes below average. When I saw FR had them as a guest tap my reaction was WTF. I think the brewer there is way out over his skis.

Got a QC Haze from Bent River awhile ago...forgettable would be a compliment.

They were all top notch. It's hard to say but I think this ghost tropic batch may be my favorite IPA FR has put out.

I'm pumped to see how the snoochie cans develop over the next 1-2 months. In my experience with the 1st batch of cans and now radio swan, the cans keep getting better and better with time (I had a snoochie can ~2 months and it held up great). This is another reason why I think FR is the best in the Chicagoland game right now.

It was $13 for me Saturday afternoon. That beer is delicious but I prefer the lower abv and rye bite of Radio Swan.
