Foam Brewers

Locals: If you could fill a growler with one of the currently available beers, which one would you go with? A buddy of mine is visiting tonight and he's got bandwidth to bring me back one growler. I don't discriminate on styles and, for reference, I loved both Galaxie 500 and Pavement when I visited Foam last month.

 

Chances built to spill cans last thru Friday afternoon??

 

Eraserhead. Super Juicy.

 

Since this is their first can release and no total number of cases announced, noone will be able to answer this question.

 

No idea how many cases they have but I'll be shocked if it lasts longer than a day

 

I'd go with The Fruit That Ate Itself, absolutely amazing.

Pretty impressed they're starting with a case limit, I would estimate they don't have over 150 cases available (assuming they did a double batch).

 

Guys, doesn't the tweet showed above say 110 cases?!

 

They edited the post. When I first saw it today there wasn't a case count. 110 cases will be gone quick!

Case limit on a hyped brewery's first IPA can release is 100% an ego trip by the brewery.

They could've seen this from a mile away and chosen to get beer in more people's hands but, to me, this feels like Foam stroking themselves off a bit.

 

Or maybe they just wanted to move through the beer quickly since it was a first release. After all, people showed up at 8:45. Seems to me like a learning curve.

 

Mmmm...yeah. Who hypes this brewery on a constant basis? Everyone on this site who's not a local (we've learned to keep quiet.) From the tone of your post, I'm guessing you didn't haul your ass up here to get some in time. If Foam turns into the weekly shitshow that is Treehouse, you'll be right at home, eh?

Get over yourself. Plenty of people (locals too, oh the horror...) have been talking about Foam for a while despite your absurd claim to the contrary, and not just on this tiny corner of the internet.

And yes, I definitely want Foam to turn into TH with lines and low limits. Exactly my point, you nailed it.

Anyone try Eraserhead? Got to try this on Saturday (and take a 2L home) and it is T H I C C.

In all seriousness, it has a super unique taste and it's maybe the most opaque beer I've ever seen. They've been so consistently delicious in the beers I've had from them. Regardless of cans, I'd be there more often, if it was closer (and if Hill Farmstead wasn't half the distance for me).
