I second ghost tropic. Had pint at lunch and grabbed a growler. I've never had any treehouse, trillium or monkish but this is the juiciest tasting beer I've ever had

Damn I was planning to come by Sunday afternoon, as I need to grab a growler of Ghost Tropic, but maybe I'm gonna have to try to stop in earlier !

Pipeworks makes some great beer. But Stay Gold can stay put if Com Boochie (communist kombucha?) or the Swan song are on. I'm excited to try the new ghost tropic, too!

This is the worst post I've ever made.

They are going to rent space at miskatonic from what I understand. And I would guess they'll look to get their own spot while brewing there in the meantime.

More Crawling Through Windows was kind of meh to me. Nothing really wrong with it, but kind of bland and without that whole beginning middle and end transition that Josh Noel had talked about last month.

New mango/vanilla/lactose milkshake NEIPA from RAM is legit, "Mango Whisk". Very sweet with no bitterness, so it may not be for everyone. But it is comparable to tired hands... I gave it a 4.5/5

Best beer I've had from RAM since Shaun left.

Swung by Windmill's 2nd anniversary party yesterday. They're killing it. Meme de la Creme is absolutely fantastic. The Memes and Dreams is outstanding as well and their release yesterday, Peaches and Memes was loaded with peach. All of those are milkshake style, so lactose was added - they have other NE-style which I did not get a chance to try.

Their BA stout and apricot brett saison were also great.

Just cracked open the Hubbard's Cave Triple IPA. Not feeling this one at all. Very syrupy sweet for me, rotting fruit vibes, and chalky after taste. Had high hopes for it as I really liked their most recent offerings in the NE style. Oh well :\

Have to echo this. Really incredible beer from Justin. I know he recently visited Omnipollo and if seems like he got some inspiration for Mango Whisk. Tasted like mango creamsicle for me. Excited for other variants in the future. I know something would bring me back to this brewery.

Any Chicago distro? Checked the location and it's a little south a 3 Floyds.

I just cracked this open today. Although it lost a little bit of juiciness because it was canned back on March 15, I'm surprised this hasn't become a malt bomb already since it's a couple days shy of 5 months old. It hasn't lost it's haze or color, either. I have no problem drinking this right now.

I know this isn't a Chicagoland beer but @BJP had mentioned before about brewing methods/processes and shelf life of IPAs. To make my post tie into the Chicagoland NEIPA topic, has anyone here accidentally held on to a Chicago area NEIPA a bit too long? If so, how were they? I feel like breweries that make these beers and they still taste pretty good even though you don't drink them as fast as the brewery would like you to maybe should get some bonus points? What you think?

Wasn't my thing either. Been surprised to see how many people are really digging it. It had huge ratings last time I looked
