Ive been following line updates via Facebook and it seems like absolute madness. The line of chairs dropped last night is borderline mental and absolutely sad. Those who went and get allotments congrats but Im glad I decided to sit this one out.

Yeah this is the longest the line has ever been. Got here an hour early and there's gotta be 500 people ahead of me, now 100s behind. Police are out complaining about sidewalk blockage and people walking in the street too. This is not a good situation.

But cut it out with the teases and give us more advanced notice on the can releases, amirite?

Compared to the lemon meringue shake this notice was significantly better!

I thought the same thing. They went from 9 AM announcements for Sunday milkshake to giving a days notice. You announce a little before opening (without teasers during the week) and anyone local makes it and a line never accumulate to what it's become cause they could run through it as people showed up and never let the line accumulate.

The keg at the fermentaria kicked at 12:40. Going to shop and browse Whole Foods and see if the lines still long before I head home empty handed. The shake was really good though.

Got my allotment at 1:40. Guessing there are 30 cases left, so 60 allotments. A lot of the line is going home empty handed on this one.

This is why that keg should be tapped later. The same people who drink it on tap are the ones who got their full allotment and also probably put chairs down for them and their friends. They get their cake and get to eat it too.

Drove past at 2:30pm and they already closed up the garage.

Had lunch and some pours of the 'shake at the Brew Cafe at noon. We went over and got in line around 1:10. Unfortunately, we were shut out by about 30 people in front of us. Gladly, there were plenty bottles of Purpec and Helles Other People at the General Store.

Based on instagram comments, it looks like they sold out right before 2...with a significant line still in place. Given that I got there an hour before the release and just barely got my allotment, an hour early might be the new cut-off time to get milkshakes on a Sunday.

Are there still bottles of exactly almost at the General Store?

Yes - lots of bottles still on the wall when I was there a few minutes ago.

I thought overnight chairs were going to get trashed? Very disappointing if this is what went down.

If you leave your chair overnight - you are an asshole plain and simple. I stick by my statement that these milkshake releases bring out the worst in people. I am honestly suprised there haven't been any fights at these releases

Tired Hands is exhausting at this point. Can we just go back to a weekly release. It's just insane to keep up with lately.

Take a month or so off, literally clear your fridge, drink shelf beers you love, save money, clear some beers you've been aging, enjoy. It's worked out amazingly for me this summer. Actually kind of liberating.
