Very insightful and exactly what I was looking for. Gonna try to see if I can clear some more of my afternoon so I can afford to step out. Thanks for your help!

If you've got calls @ 3, I'd say your move is to get in line on the earlier side. If you're in the first 50-100 people, you could maybe be back to your desk by 3...Especially if they start the on-sale a little before 2 to cut-down on line size.

If you jump in line at 1:45, I don't see it being too plausible, but who knows really.

Couldn't help but notice they only announced this one with 24 hours notice. Not sure if that will have any positive outcome on the size of the line, but certainly couldn't have hurt compared to announcing it last week?

@danjsnyder Oh and to what @hopschomping said... even though they technically open at 2, which is earlier than their 3pm normal opening time.... The last 6 releases they've been selling early, like 1:30 - 1:45. So you'd want to be in line earlier than that. If not a lot earlier than that

1:15 almost end of block. 1:35 a bit around corner. I'm first for Taproom only. At least I get my Dobis Family Reunion growler.

Wow, that's definitely the longest I've heard it being at that time other than the JG bottle. The collabs sure do bring'em out. No way would anyone drink that beer and say oh this has a certain Monkish note to it.

Had to sit this one out. Hoping everything will still be available on tap tomorrow or Friday.

So glad I hit taproom first. I got my growler, 3 drinks, then went in line for 15 mins max for cans. Now back at work, and no one is none the wiser :stuck_out_tongue:

Btw DDH Permanent Daylight is really freakin amazing. I didn't like the regular one, but this one is tasting better than Keeping the Family Together and Dobis Family Reunion to me. But Dobis FR is really good too. Nothing wrong with KtFT but as someone else in line pointed out... all the "openers" have been better than the headliners. Just my 0.02.

Kind of bummed I missed the release. I'm heading up to Berkeley with a can each of Abnormal's Turbidity Batch 3 and Old Money if any one's interested.

Honestly thought this release would be just as bad as Juice Gymnastics but it wasn't even close. Growler line when I left though....That looked like it was getting bad.

Would've loved to have done what @thuey did but the threat of rush hour traffic was too great for me.

Every release today was great. Even though I didn't get cans I'm content knowing I live close enough to drink it on tap. Solid day

Just happened to be in San Francisco for work yesterday with an afternoon of no obligations so I went to the release as well. Overall I thought it was very well run, got there about 1:05 and was heading back to my hotel by 2:40 or so.

Had the pleasure of chatting with a nice woman who made the treck to Cellarmaker so that she could pick up beer for her son who had to work. This woman drove over an hour, then stood in line for roughly 2 hours just so her son could enjoy some beer! If you're reading this and thinking "that's me" I want you to know that your mother is a saint and deserves the absolute nicest dinner that you can afford as a thank you!

Ha - I like the comment about the openers and headliners. And that's great about the story of the mom. Truly Keeping The Family Together =)

I thought all the beers released yesterday were pretty damn top-notch. My fav was the one not in cans though, the Dobis Family Reunion was really really good. It was also my first-time to try Cash Only. Maybe it was because of all the other great stuff just tapped, but that beer was very clearly at the bottom of the list after the three new ones yesterday - can't put my finger on it, but didn't love that beer...

Glad that all the cans both sold out quickly - but also that there was no-line at the end, good for them.

Yeah, I had Ca$h Only at Toronado when it first debuted there but... I really did not like it at all. But looking at the ratings on that yellow icon app, it seemed like I was in the minority. I like me some WC IPAs - Are You Afraid of the Dank may actually be my favorite Cellarmaker beer of all time. But Ca$h Only tasted like nondescript bitter alcohol to me.

Not sure if this would have been better suited for The Rare Barrel threads but Birds in Paradise, Cellarmaker's collab with TRB, has been available in their taproom since Tuesday.

It's a "Brett Aged Pale Ale Blended With Golden Sour, Dry Hopped With Simcoe And Aged On Fresh Pineapple And Toasted Coconut".

I had two pours of it yesterday, because it was so good. It might be the best sour I've ever had. Love the Cellarmaker dry hopping in it. It's less tart than the Beer Week collabs, and more on the fruity side. To me, it was the perfect balance of hops, tart, and fruit. I would have brought home a growler if they allowed it.

I usually buy it when they have it on tap, but I haven't tried this batch. Glad to hear it's tasting great. I have two bottles at home, so I'll probably crack one up tonight!

Man, wish I had a second pour of Birds in Paradise, I drank it kind of quick and it really just tasted like really delicious pineapple juice - and I wasn't getting much else. But reading these reviews makes me wish I had another time to check it out. Maybe I'll still catch it at Rare Barrell...

Big plug for Turok: Mosaic Hunter though. Maybe I'm getting it confused with another one, but did not they have that beer not all that long ago as well? Well, it blew me away this time. Silver Hours too.

Bangerang however, I did not think measured up to the last time I had it, which I think was the last time they brewed it, though perhaps I missed one.
