I showed up at 530, got cans by 6 and enjoyed the next hour in the tasting room talking the ears off a nice couple I met from St. Louis.
Bar was 2-3 deep, but fast, friendly and efficient.

Plenty of room elsewhere in the taproom for me to flail my arms while speaking animatedly.

I thought what they did yesterday was great, although I didn't go. And even though I had to stand in a line for 25 minutes before I got in there today, it's not like I didn't expect it. They sell beer. Beer that A LOT of people want. I no longer care why or how they do what they do. If it works out for me that I can get some of said beer without being too inconvenienced then great. Yes, them posting on instagram 5 hrs before opening brought the bigger line, but then again... it's opening day. They want a lot of people there on opening day. And it wasn't too bad all things considered. Question though.... have they been selling 12 oz pours for $8 this whole time, or is that another new price point in the new space? Some were still $7... just curious.

I got to try the enigma/galaxy and I definitely tasted the oniony flavor that was mentioned here a few weeks ago, but it wasn't overpowering at all and probably would've warmed up beautifully if I didn't have to rush out of there to pick my kids up in time.

I had the same exact question regarding the $8 12oz pours, I don't think they were ever $8 but I could be wrong.

I just left the tap room and it was still crowded but plenty of room to roam around.

Just checking my OH emailed receipts and a 12oz pour of Fully Loaded was $8. Going back further a 12oz pour of DDH SGE was $5 back in March and DDH Mylar was $7.

I suspect it's going to be the same situation as Tree House where there's a line for no reason when people can wait for them to go through the line and then walk away with full allotments. I went in around 7ish and there was no line. Some people just like to wait in line. It won't be constant, you just have to time your visit with that in mind (I hope).

They upped all their 12oz pours by a dollar.

Some of you are absolutely ridiculous with your self-serving notions and fantasies of how OH should be managed. There way too many comments here bitching about the same damn thing day after day, thread after thread.. It's a business, not your personal beer dispensary. They are obviously going to market their product and drum up demand to the best of their ability, not have silent releases everyday for your benefit. They want to make great beer and make a ton of money...that's the fact of the matter.

OH is extremely popular, so there will pretty much always be lines and tons of people around from now on. Get used to it or find another spot to frequent.

green power is really dope and most importantly super unique for other half, they been meddling in similar flavor profiles and this one is a distant one for sure. overriped melon/ honeydew was the best way i could describe it reminds me of Alien church a lot

Yes! Like a honeydew smoothie. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those melon notes come from the motueka, right? I feel like some of their other melony offering were maybe a little too melony. This one rocks.

I feel like the unique flavor from Green Power might be coming from a different yeast strain. It has some similarities to a certain brewery up in MA. I certainly would not have pegged it for an OH IPA blind.

To me, Green power tasted similar to the interboro collab "Another Dose"

Agreed. Tastes almost exactly like that beer.

I never got to try that but my check in for their Bass in Your Face notes a big melon presence; I also felt a similar hop flavor came through in DDH Tesseract. Love the change of pace.

I thought the same thing, though it has a weird, almost cloying sweetness to it up front that I'm not used to.

I showed up at 6:30 and didn't wait at all for cans, guess I'd gotten lucky? Anyone know if there is any left of either for today?

Green Power could be my favorite OH IPA. I've only had 8 oz so far of this can but man I could drink this all damn day.

Any idea where the Saturday can releases are going to be out of now with the new tap room open?

I'm with you. This is excellent beer, and not the typical OH flavor in the least.

So how does the new taproom work? Is there a separate area of the bar for growlers?

Yeah. Growlers are off to the side near the merchandise. And much more expensive than they used to be.
