Starting light this morning. Been wanting to try this Westmalle: Extra for a long time. Probably prefer the more complex Westy Blonde, but at 1/3 of the price there's not much in it!

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Looking to be another typical day with my usual errands. Bottle returns, laundry, and a bit of catch up work for tomorrow. Shouldn't be too busy this week.

    Beers this morning:

Incredible as always. Flavors of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted biscuit malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness. Very smooth finish with balanced hop stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, never astringent. Has all the Mosaic and Citra hop flavors I love, with balanced bready malts to make it taste super juicy. Glad I decided to revisit this beer, a top favorite IPA for sure. I really should buy it more often than I do. I haven't had it in months.

Fantastic coffee stout. Flavors of big nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, raisin, cherry, smoke, char, and herbal hops. Very complex and vibrant fruity/nutty coffee character. Light-moderate herbal hop and roast/char bitterness; great bittersweet balanced roasted finish. Medium-full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel; light hop stickiness and chalky roast/coffee notes. Lightly increasing roasted dryness. Super smooth, minimal warming 8% ABV. Amazingly rich, complex, and well balanced. I keep finding more singles of this sitting around in certain areas, but I definitely look forward to the next fresh batch. Coffee is starting to feel a tad stale at the moment. I still love it though. Would buy more if I see it.

Amazing as always. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, and light pepper/pine hops; with wheat, white bread dough, light honey malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, grassy, citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds and increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Super dank and juicy hops, with great malt balance. Never overly sweet or heavy. Glad to have this as a year round available beer. Newer batches have improved over the one I reviewed originally. Less bitterness and more juiciness. I prefer Boxer a little more, but has not hit the shelf in a few months. This and the Odd Side Dank juice series have been keeping me company since then, so it's not a huge loss. Need to grab another 4 pack.

This is insane! Flavors of lightly tart blueberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, toasted coconut, bourbon, oak, and dark bread; with some lighter notes of molasses, licorice, and raisins. Light roasted bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Full bodied with an amazing creamy/silky/rich mouthfeel. Some light roast malt chalkiness and fruit acidity; touch of dryness from both. Never cloyingly sweet, but definitely a dessert beer. Amazingly smooth, minimally warming 10.5%. A near perfect balance of berries, cocoa/vanilla, malt, and barrel character. Tons of flavor complexity, and it all comes together extremely well. I've always been a big fan of fruit stouts, so I'm not surprised how much I loved this one. Seems pretty polarizing to most people, but this is one of my favorites from last year. This is the 6th bomber I've had, and I have a few more in the cellar. I keep grabbing these randomly every time I see them. Well worth the price. Still plenty of Mango Magnifico around too, though not nearly as amazing. I will have to check another one out soon to see how it's aging. I recall being a pretty big fan of it.

Taste is malt forward with richness and depth. Richer than your run of the mill Helles without venturing over into cloying sweetness. Mid palate forward carries more hop presence in what appears to be a quartet of spicy, citrusy, floral hops with something Noble singing the high notes. Right at the finish there is a final burst of sweetness with everything resolved in the aftertaste. Rather complex and seamlessly interwoven flavors.

Not sure why this thread hasn't started yet, but I think it's about time. Not a coffee stout, but one of my absolute favorites.

I've got some family stuff today and most likely won't be back to the thread. I've probably drank enough beer in the last 24 hours anyway.
Enjoy what's in your mug today BA! :beers:

Complete disaster. The lowest rated Breckenridge beer I've tried. It's completely flavorless.
