Sad to say that after 145 successful trades with many awesome people on this forum I finally got burned. @CoachMoney28 has not replied to me since July 19th. He was supposed to ship July 24th, my box delivered July 22nd. @CoachMoney28 is relatively new to the forum and I put my trust in this guy and got burned. I'll need to think twice about trading with anyone new. Sad that people like this are still around, we have a great community and people like this really ruin it.
Nothing shady before hand. Communication was good. Trade was FO B3 for Cycle Blue + White Rare Dos and Last Buffalo. 3:1.
Have you tried to contact him outside of BA, did you use the trade system, did you tell him you were going to create this thread Criteria for Starting a Bad Trader Thread Was the trade conducted on BeerAdvocate? Is your trade partner's account verified? Did you use the Feedback System? Was beer shipped, either by you or the trade partner? Was the beer being traded by you in your possession prior to establishing the trade? Have you given them a chance to make it right? Have you exhausted all methods of contact?
OP, please do not take offense but I'm honestly a bit surprised you did not have the trader in question ship first given they only have 1 trade on the BA books and you have over 140. Obviously it does not help you in this situation and I certainly hope you can be made whole regarding the trade. Good luck.
Anyway for a Mod to see who the other open traders are and tag them here? @blue-dream or @F2brewers is this even a remote possibility? Seems like more carnage maybe coming down the tubes..... Hopefully nothing tragic happened to @CoachMoney28 .
To my knowledge, mods have never had access to that information. @dmbforever maybe an offline discussion up the chain of command would help?
@dleiner Can you please add a few more details or sum up for all of us a time frame with details on this trade. It would be helpful to know what exactly transpired before tagging the trader with the red ribbon of shame. Also- Im insinuating that you have the complete conversation to back your story? I see that the Bad Trader tag has not been applied to @CoachMoney28 yet. I was curious if there was any progress on this matter. He still has the 3 open trades... @dleiner did you supply @dmbforever the details he requested? Can you let us know? Thanks.
OP. Do you have his cell # to contact him? Looks like he did a IP trade with @sanchezjes1205 If you don't have that info, maybe you can get it from him?
@dleiner Would you mind taking part in the thread you started and supply me and the community some *details* as I requested on August 4th. If this isnt important to you...I am not going to waste my time helping. You been on the site, as recently as 4 hours ago and its been 2 weeks since my request. I can certainly make this thread go away...your call. Note: the trader in question has not been tagged a bad trader because Im waiting on you for details. Threads been locked and title edited accordingly. Apparently the OP @dleiner chooses to peruse the site and continuously ignores the multiple tags asking for details. Seems this is not that important to them, so its not that important for us to help out. Thread might just disappear since there are no details to support allogations. Cheers!
Good evening, Just wanted to update everyone where we stand to date. The OP messaged me the other day with details on the trade and a sincere apology on why the lack of response on their end. In my thinking, the reasons were completely justified after analyzing the situation if I were in the OP's shoes. Sometimes we, including myself, get wrapped up in our own thoughts on what others should or should not be doing without getting their side of the story or hearing their thought process. Bottom line- @dleiner is an outstanding trader who got screwed over. The title of the thread has been adjusted and @CoachMoney28 has been tagged a *Bad Trader*. He has not been on BA in over 3 weeks. If this isnt resolved soon, his account will be retired. I will leave this open for a little while in hopes this may get resolved. Cheers, Dave
Glad to read this... dleiner is a good guy in my book so it's good to see that part of this thread being worked out.
Thanks for all of the support and thanks to Dave for all of his patience. I was pretty down and upset about the situation and started to ignore it which isn't helpful to the great community here. I hope I am able to resolve this and get back to a hobby I love.
@Todd Can we please retire @CoachMoney28 account. He has not been on BA in over a month and has had plenty of time to correct the situation. Also, he has ignored the OP since July 19th.
