Personally I think this beer is all hazelnut with nothing to back it up, but nice to try it! You might like it more than I did.

@WesMantooth - the How Now Brown Cow series is lighter at 6%. I think only one of the variants has been disappointing, but none have been awesome (to me). This is one of the more enjoyable, with the coffee being up front and the hazelnut sneaking up to take the back, with a slight watery aspect to it.

Haha! Or it's like @CanConPhilly says. I got more coffee out of it than he did, obviously.

Very attractive rose gold color with white cap and lace. Color's great, gotta hand it to the brewer, terrific appearance.

Aroma of bready, caramely malt, hint of toffee as well. I get a bit of herbal, floral hops, not much, just a little, but noticeable.

Taste on entry is maltier than the aroma suggests. There's a definite sweetness of a caramel type along with a slightly heavier dark malt presence without roasted harshness. Hops emerge mid palate in a bittering sense which goes away then reemerges in the aftertaste which is also touched with sweetness.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Nice all rounder here. Malty, amber beer without pretense, reliable as an old plough horse. The kind of beer John Voelker would've drank while chasing elusive Brook Trout on Frenchman's Pond in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

If you're still there you might as well try the Faro. Not sure it's available elsewhere.
