Give this a search. Seems like every week a thread like this is started, you shouldn't have any issue finding great insight.

Where are you going to be staying? Chicago is a big place so unless you want to drive a long ways some places may be too far. Will you have a car? or is public transportation your ticket? Are you looking for just a brewery or a place with food? How important is it that its a brewery v. a good craft beer bar ... help us help you :stuck_out_tongue:

But seriously, give us some more details and we can hook you up.

As a side note, I'm gonna be in Warwick/Kingstown in a couple weeks (driving in from Logan international) - Know of any good craft beer stores in that area that I can stop by to get some stuff?

Hey @mmoriarty there's a whole thread on NEIPAs in the Chicagoland area. Tops for the hazy style are the ones from Corridor Brewery (Southport brown el stop) and Forbidden Root, along with some others. Maplewood is a distant third... the others in that thread would largely depend on whether you have wheels to get you there or are limited by public transit. Enjoy!

You can definitely search the forums, but quick synopsis while not knowing your location. Best hazy beers in chicago, you must go to Forbidden Root and/or Corridor. They also have some great food selections as well. Links taproom usually has some haze on draft as well as many other awesome beers. They have a great updated beermenu online. Take a look. Also, they have great food.

Agreed! Food at f root is surprisingly good. These lamb ribs. I would marry them if that was ok in this state.

Monks Pub is on Lake st. not to far from where you are - they'll have good stuff on tap and solid food if you are looking for something close.

Binny's on Grand Ave. is close by to you and is your best bet for the biggest selection for cans/bottles to go.

Forbidden Root/Corridor are both a short uber ride away or you could try to get their by public transportation if you want.

You're pretty centrally located for a lot of things - if you have any other questions just ask.

Do you have time to go to proclamation or tilted barn?

Per stores, the distro in RI isn't that great you can prob grab some captains daughter but otherwise your liking at places that still have kbs or firestone stouts and BCBS still on shelfs but not much else other then stouts worth it

Depends - how bad are the lines for releases? Im there for a wedding (that Im in) so I have lots going on in the evenings. I can't bring back too much - but finding some Captains daughter would be nice.

Look, can I just say screw the search for NE IPAs? You can wade through the 170+ page Chicago NE IPA thread if you want, but good luck making any sense of it - it's not a reference manual for anyone interested in the style, it's more of a go-to for sycophants. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course - we all like what we like.

I would say if all you want is a NE IPA, then you've already received the best advice in the first couple or responses. But to my point - You live in effin New England - what are you going to find in Chicago that rivals that from where you come? Or what you can get there?

If I were you, I would hit up Half Acre. Full Stop. Enjoy the beer, and don't worry about if it's hazy or not.

Then, I would hit up Revolution. Another Full Stop. And repeat, enjoy the beer.

And, maybe try Dovetail - but they are definitely not of the hazy genus, but I recommend them, nonetheless.

After that, the rest is gravy.

Enjoy Chicago - this is the absolute best time of the year to be here.

Tilted lines are rough but earlier hours (on sat at least) but proclamation you can get cans for sure without much hassle (shhh...)
