Has Dayton/Cincy gotten any Schlafly Pumpkin? Going to be in Dayton at the end of the month.

A couple months ago I heard that Schlafly was pulling out of OH due to sagging sales.

I just spoke to a very knowledgeable fellow from Ollies and he has confirmed that Schlafly has pulled out of the Ohio market and will not be distributing to Ohio anymore. WTF?? I wonder if this is based on sagging sales of other Schlafly beer or the Pumpkin Ale. The pumpkin ale was so damn good. Very unfortunate.

I would recommend whole hog pumpkin ale, pretty good for a shelf beer available in Ohio

I agree. Had it for the first time two years ago and think it's probably the best shelf pumpkin there is in Ohio.

@tcorder219 no sign of Creeper in NEO yet. Did that got bottled on Monday or was it pushed back?

Today is only Wednesday. If it was bottled Monday it could take a couple days still. CBC doesn't own a teleporter.

Though that Bodhi was bottled late last week, before the creeper run. Haven't even seen that one yet, unless it is held to go out with creeper.

*** edit. Looks like I posted too soon. Showing up at a few Lakewood spots now. 8/23 date.

Understand your point. It's not uncommon for stores in my area to have 2 day young CBC products however. Several times I have seen Bodhi bottled on a Monday and on shelves Wednesday. CBC has their distribution figured out.

That is, in fact, very very strange. Send an email to: contact(at)columbusbrewing.com and we can help you out.

We normally try to bottle Bodhi on Mondays because our Cle wholesaler picks up a truck on Mondays (Cbus is pretty much every day) and usually start being delivered by Wed at latest. This is what we've found to be the shortest route from fill to start of deliveries.
This go 'round, Bodhi and Creeper were lining up close to each other, so we moved Bodhi ahead in the schedule and packaged late last week to create room for Creeper on Mon.
The problem is, this didn't happen. Our bottling line went down and we lost two days getting problems diagnosed, parts ordered and delivered, and just got back up and running this morning. We even had guys here at the brewery waiting late last night to receive a part in order to install and program overnight so we could package today. It's been a rough couple days.
SO....Creeper was finally bottled today (Wed 8/30). Cbus should see some deliveries by Fri. NE Ohio is less certain, we missed their direct truck for the week. We're working to get those pallets transferred between wholesalers asap. NE Ohio should see deliveries start no later than first of next week.

The store I usually get it from has been 5 days from bottling or less. Many times 2 days after like you said.

So maybe they DO own a teleporter...it's the only way!

I got Bodhi yesterday in Amherst, bottled 8-14. Girl said Lorain County got 5 cases and they were one of the lucky ones. take it for what it's worth...Lakewood gets all the good stuff

If you think about it: you still found 8/14 Bodhi on a shelf in Amherst. Most places in Lakewood wouldn't have 8/14 Bodhi left, and you may even have a hard time finding 8/23 at this point. The places that sell the most beer, receive the most beer.

Hmm... Maybe I should add Lorain county/Amherst to my search options. 8/14 Bodhi is better than a lot of options in my neighborhood.
