August was an amazing month for Stickman releases, I think Homemade is Best cans selling out is a pretty good indicator. Yesterdays Flip Phones & Cassette Tapes is as good, really strong follow up to Send in the Clowns double desert IPA & Gun to a Knife Fight farmhouse IPA... the mango IPL was great too. I usually save a can for my neighbors, but when I told them I was headed to Stickman yesterday they both asked me to pick up 4 packs for them :beers:

I missed the Homeade is Best in cans, but got some on draft. Very, very good. As I said, I have not had an IPA from Stickman that I didn't love, they know how to do them.

@edb23 thanks for the clarifications. I think most of us "get it" and really like the poking fun names you come up with. The great thing is too that the beer backs up the name, meaning a funny name with crap beer in the can/tap is a letdown, but great beer with a funny name is winning, which you have.

Keep up the good work, I get by fairly often and the addition of the cans just makes it all that much better. You should see my beer fridge at home, stocked with both Stickman and TH :grinning: I soon hope to see capacity where I can enjoy a sixtel at home from you, that would be awesome.

glad to hear it my man! thanks for the support guys, I really value these places where we can have constructive conversation about things that we all really enjoy. As for the sixtels at home my friend, very occasionally we will have them, and we announce when we do, but the problem (it's a good problem to have) is our new wholesaler has us under a standing order of "every drop you can send", so until the demand for wholesale dies down, we'll be unable to give those out with more frequency, because we are absolutely at production capacity for the moment.

No worries, I do get it. Thanks again, I'll await patiently and enjoy the cans until then.

PS: The IPL with mango is terrific, very refreshing.

Hey thanks for coming on and interacting with your local customers, I, and I'm sure others in this thread really appreciate it when brewers take time out of their busy days to join the conversation. I'm not going to take back my comment of you guys being a tier below Tired Hands and Hidden River because I think that is a damn good compliment especially in the short amount of time you have been around. I do have to say though your recent month, as others have noted has brought about some great stuff and availability is starting to be a big plus in my book. Look forward to many more pints at your spot, thanks again!

Keep doing it, and thank you for not adopting the hype-scarcity marketing method, it's appreciated.

Thanks for the direct feedback, keep up the brewing and we'll keep up the drinking.

Had a chance to crack a can of Consensual Mugging (mango india pale lager) this evening. Really enjoyed it. I usually dislike beers with mango as they tend to have a caustic burning sensation. Not so with Consensual. Mango is present but not sweet or burn-y. Crisp, drinkable, bitter, and a hint of mango. Well done!

Always appreciated when an owner/head brewer takes time out of their schedule to converse, talk about their vision/philosophy, beers, etc...

Has anyone had Send in the Clowns recently? I tried last night and it was pretty solid. I got a four pack of it too. I also had Trotsky which was also excellent. Stickman makes awesome funky/sour beer

Just to clarify, Send in the Clowns is their Dessert DIPA, not a sour

Yup, tried SITC last weekend. Thought all the flavor elements came though very well. Could definitely taste be the strawberry, banana, and coco nibs. Really enjoyed it.

With all due respect, I would like to chime in here and mention that we here at Tired Hands, with Omnipollo by our side, did in fact invent the Milkshake IPA style. We first brewed the beer, Milkshake IPA (which spawned the style Milkshake IPA) together at our BrewCafé about two and a half years ago on March 10th, 2015. With that said, if you believe anyone had brewed the beer or he style before that point in time, we would be very interested in that information.

    Peace & Love,
    THBC.

An IPA with Lactose? 3 Floyd's Apocalypse Cow was around long before that.

Given that fact that lactose has been used in beers since at least the early 1900's, and patented as such in 1875, I highly doubt any of the current existing breweries were the first to use it in an IPA.

You're right on that, wasn't referring to ipas with lactose but this particular milkshake or dessert style IPA. Had the history of that mixed up and I'm happy to correct myself. Keep doing what you folks are doing over there
