    Kane Brewing: http://www.kanebrewing.com/

Address: 1750 Bloomsbury Ave, Ocean Township, NJ 07712
We are located behind the Ocean Plaza Shopping Center off Route 35.

Tap Room Hours: Thursday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Friday: 5 pm to 8 pm, Saturday: 12 pm to 7 pm, Sunday: 12 pm to 5 pm

Tours: Tours of the brewery are given at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Guided tours last approximately 15-20 minutes. Self-guided tours are continuously available during our Tour and Tasting hours. No charge

They DO NOT allow any tour buses, limousines, party groups, bachelor or bachelorette parties, etc. in the brewery for tours and tastings. We have limited space and do not have the staff to handle large unexpected groups even with a prior reservation.

Current Tap List: Facebook is updated before retail hours with current Tap List. Year round beers includes Head High, Overhead and Single Finn.

Growler Fills: Beer prices vary depending on style but range from $7-$20+. The cost of the growler is an additional $10 for one-liter, and $12 for two-liter. Yes, Kane fills growlers from other breweries as long as it has a government warning, labeled volume, and a Kane Brewing Co. sticker can be applied for regulatory compliance.

Can and Bottles Sales: Limited release 750ml bottles for sale at the brewery as well as cans. Check Facebook (must have Facebook account), Twitter, or Instagram for up to date list. Solitude, our 9.2% Belgian-style dark strong ale, will now be available at the brewery in 750ml bottles on an (almost) year-round basis.

They offer a few varieties of their beer to be purchased in sixtel (5.2 gallon kegs). In addition to the cost of the beer, there is a $30 cash deposit required for the keg that will be refunded upon its return.

Secret promotion in the works?

Got it off Kane's website where the heading is Sales And Marketing. Sorry, I didn't catch the VP of Sales only. I'll fix it next month. :stuck_out_tongue:

Who is the head of marketing if it's not you?

Tell the VP of marketing he should adjust the Facebook settings so that people without a Facebook account can see it.
I'm sure there is a technical term for what I just said, but as a non-Facebooker, I don't know what it is called.

Sorry, I'm too busy spying Jamie from Forgotten Boardwalk talking to Michael in the middle of the brewery to update Facebook settings. I'll try later.

RIP $6 flights. Have they stopped this for a while?

I noticed the board wasn't separated into samples and flights and asked the bartender are you guys still doing flights today? And she was like yea of course, as if I was crazy for asking. Then she was like that will be $10.75 lol

I had previously mentioned the flights ordeal. It's been a month or two, I believe since they did that. Wife and I had two flights and the total came out to like $22 and we were confused and then realized "flights" now include everything on the board and isn't divided the way it used to be.

I think it might have started right before the summer, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yea that's a bummer. It's a shame the more popular places get the more they drive up their prices. You'd think it would be the other way around. At least Carton is still staying true to the incredibly cheap $5 "flight" for now. Will definitely limit how often I go there on non-can release days, though the $6 flight was more a great way to introduce new people into Kane. I'll just grab the small sample of whatever is new when picking up cans

Sorry must have missed that post in the monster 2-page monthly thread that was so big it required a new thread for a new month :grinning:

Haha, no worries, it was a throwaway comment when talking about BBA Evening/Morning bell. It was just something I had truly noticed by then.

We changed this several months ago. The $6 flight was very restricted - only core beers were typically eligible for it so we switched to a more a la carte setup to allow people to get whatever they want in their flight. If you pick 2 limited release beers and 2 high gravity beers for example, it's of course going to cost more.

If you've never been here before you and you want to try a flight of our cores and seasonals, you can do so for about $8. If you come every weekend and you want to try the rare/limited/new/high gravity stuff, you can without drinking a full glass of each or going back to the bar for each new 4oz sample.

We always did 4oz pours of whatever you wanted with a la carte pricing. Now you can just get them all at once on a flight paddle. So in that sense not much has changed other than the "core" flight went up $2. But that's just what happens over time. Once upon a time Head High growlers were $12, now they're $14.
