Hi guys, Can anyone give me some ideas as to new/ish hops I should be checking out? I brew mostly in the PA/IPA/IIPA family. My favorite hops are citra & galaxy. TIA

Worked with some Comet this past year and really liked it. Have some Jarrylo and Equinox that I just bought that sound interesting.

Denali. Very strong pineapple flavor. Good stuff.

Haven't brewed with it but Yakima Valley says Vic Secret is similar to Galaxy.

Michigan Copper if you can get some. I made a killer smash a couple of months ago that came out pretty awesome. It has very strong tangerine and pineapple flavors.

    BRU-1
Brulosophy site says they most closely relate to Galaxy. I would agree. I'm dry humped some bretts , sours, and most recently a big triple IPA. You get the generic juicy fruit flavors and aromas but maybe a little more interesting

I must have got a bad lot. I used Denali in two different IPA recipes and hop pairings and disliked them both. I had high hopes.

I picked up enough Loral at NHC to make a batch of PA. I like the flavor and aroma, not over the top, more noble and earthy, a little Citrus in the background.

I've got two single hop session type Hoppy beers in fermentors right now. First one with Medusa and another with Grungeist. Both low alpha but high oil hops.

Denali is straight pineapple. Combo it with El
Dorado and you literally get dole pineapple juice.

Loral is cool, for me it has was really quite lemony. Used it in a Kolsch and Pilsner.

BRU-1 sold out before I could try it. Alchemist used it in a Skadoosh I believe.

Just got some Cashmere to use here soon, sounds really interesting.

If you haven't used Idaho 7 yet I would highly recommend it. Lots of different flavors and aromas.

X-331 is awesome. I think it's called Strata now.

I'm hoping to try some of the new Slovenian hops, Cardinal, Wolf, Eagle.

Farmhouse Brewing Supply was the only place that had it and it's sold out. I would assume they'll have it again although I think a lot of it is contracted now especially with Sierra Nevada using it in their new "hazy" IPA.

I was just given a bunch of calypo, azzaca, zythos, moteuka, belma, and sorachi ace. Only one I've had exclusively is sorachi, which I recall having lemon flavor. Any of these work well on their own or in combination (together or with more classic hops)?

Used this hop a lot last year in a bunch of saisons. Liked it, but wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it again.

Jester...very soapy and astringent (at least in FW's fairly recent collab)

That's a LOT of dry humping. You chafed at all?

I've used calypso, azzaca, and belma. None of them really impressed me. OK as a complementary hop, but on their own what they brought to the table just wasn't for me.
