Last thread had only 17 replies on it, if I don't make the next one, whomever does please make it "Q4 2017"

It took a week to even make a monkish thread. If you think it's bad now get ready for less posting.

What's the reasoning between annual and quarterly threads for different brewery/topics? I like how the Bruery one is 94 pages long. That one gets as many posts as any topic and it doesn't seem unwieldy. Why not just annual threads for each brewery/topic?

Something interesting to keep an eye on for those who don't like their tooth enamel...Upland beers are shown on K&L's coming soon page. Hmm

There was a push for more quarterly/monthly threads or having threads with a more dedicated subject (This was originally OC Beer Releases I think). I don't think it really worked out that way but trying to figure out the correct frequency for this stuff. Doesn't help a lot of people aren't subscribed to the new thread when it comes up so it takes a week or so for the populace to catch on.

Maybe the Monks thread should be yearly instead of monthly? Vote now.

Well monks thread has slowed down considerably. So maybe they should think about changing it to yearly or quarterly instead of monthly. Unless they stop doing their usual hazy IPA's and maybe do some west coast IPA's. They were doing a sh!te load of pages per month up until a couple of months ago. So what happened? Same same.

The haze game no longer carries the cache it once did, EVERYBODY has jumped on the band wagon and are making some damn fine beers. Add to the fact that the same 180 people line up week after week for Monkish cans, saturation in the market place will eventually end that shit show as well, don't get me wrong I'm a huge Monkish buyer, but 99% of my purchases are growlers that fit into my crazy schedule.

    Cheers,

I don't think even cans can make that beer taste acceptable.

    Cheers

I remember having my first KS bomber back in 2014 and thinking 'what the hell is this sweet, syrupy mess...'

Well the weather has relaxed but the beer releases are still rolling right along. Here's some stuff that has dropped this week:

    LA BEER:
Enegren is now in cans! Plus their 6th anniversary rum barrel-aged doppelbock
Cellador Restik #2 dry-hopped with Idaho 7 and Motueka
Hand-Brewed has got some bottling going again, Deez Nuts, Chubasco Serano IPA, and Rocky Peak RIPA are all fresh if you see 'em
Five Threads also rebooting their bottling: Bliss, Double Bliss, High Gear, Pantry Porter, Coconut Pantry Porter, Heidi, Serenity, and Game Day Blonde have made it out into the wild
El Segundo is in packs! Sixers of Mayberry and Citra have been out for about 2 weeks now.
Ladyface has some sour beers out in the wild again, derailleur and trebuchet are always great hits.
Brouwerij West Dog Ate My Homework Blackberry Saison now out in cans!
Three Weavers also going cans for the first time, Expat and Seafarer are now cans only.
Beachwood Blendery Strawberry Provence is their most recent drop, another one is due next week.

    OTHER BEER:
Upland! @UnknownKoger that shop you mentioned should have 'em in today. I brought in the Hopsynth and Cherry Sour, skipped on the Darken (had it at a share, not Upland's best).
Evil Twin Lost Souls, +Jackie O's You're in the Jungle, Baby! and Unstouttd
    Stillwater Mainstream Pop Music DIPA
    Omnipollo Lustro Unfiltered DIPA
    Sierra Nevada Narwhal
50-50 Capa Pale Ale, Session 267 SIPA
    Allagash Brett IPA
Modern Times Mega Blazing World, Transit of Venus, Critical Band
21st Amendment Tasty IPA (colab with Mike McDole!)
    High Water BBA Campfire Stout
DFH World Wide Stout (Barrel-aged, Vanilla variant)
Melvin IPA, 2x4, Asterisk, Hubert, Citradamus
    Avery Rumpkin

As always, if you want to find all these aforementioned beers under one roof, you can always close your browser tab, get in your car, and come visit me here in Woodland Hills. Cheers everyone, have a good weekend and happy hunting!

I heard through the grapevine that Whole Foods is no longer going to sell beer in formats larger than 22 ounces. Not sure when this will go into effect, but my local whole foods is no longer bringing in 750 ML bottles and are trying to sell through what is on the shelf.

Not surprised the HB WF used to have a great sour/funky selection and slowly it's been shifting to not only more 6 packs, but less local focus.

Whole Foods HB had some over the weekend. High Times also had them last week in the fridge outside the walk-in.
