My last week in Belgium...I usually wait at least 24 hours to let the yeast settle from transit on any bottle refermented beer, but I couldn't wait on this one...just released from warm fermentation is this lovely Triple-inspired ale from De Dolle (packaged in the latter part of August):


...the '7' in 2017 ran off the edge of the crown, but trust me this is so fresh I can slap it! An experience I will never forget.

So I don't bore you with the standard visuals of my all-time favorite beer, next up is getting my Duvel on with a visual flair that pays homage to the artists who have contributed to the Duvel Collection Series glassware:



I am very thankful that Duvel-Moortgat has made Tripel Hop Citra a year-round offering. However, I might need to move to Belgium so I don't go broke making this a staple in the 'fridge.

Yes, I am aware that there are many a brewery in The States making great, hoppy beers...but Duvel Tripel Hop is (both in flavor, consistency and shelf-life...thanks to their process) is what I look for in a well crafted beer. So long as I can afford it, Duvel will always be a part of my life.
