A pint of Guinness on the south bank of the Thames is the ticket.

Everywhere I look is a bit of history, as told by the Victors of course. Including a replica of a ship used by Sir Francis Drake, The Golden Hinde c. 1580

    Cheers.
My favorite from Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac has spawned great covers, but the original is best. Cheers!

I dont think i will be able to get to sleep before the sun comes up so im just going to have a beer and keep it moving until breakfast time. Karl Strauss Aurora Hoppyalis. Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Mosaic, and Citra. Not alot of Malt presence. Light in body for a 7% ipa. Light yellow color. crisp and dry feeling, decent carbonation. Tastes like pineapple, citrus and hint of floral and pine. Good beer.

My wife decided to join me in a breakfast beer. She went with SN Oktoberfest to accompany her vegan omelet.

Starting with a new beer for me. Pretty spectacular beer from De Dolle - this one was bottled in 2013. Cheers all.

My back never let up yesterday, so I stopped drinking and did a little voodoo dance around lunch time; no help, so I eventually took a pill yesterday afternoon and got some brief relief. Taking it easy and feeling much better this morning:

This can is approximately 6+ months old, and I think my last can. Still has a coconut nose; the coconut flavor has faded, but present. Semi sweet chocolate, cocoa and caramel base with some vanilla. Silky and oily feel. Lite legs and some warmth. Still a darn tasty big alcohol (13%) and flavored stout, but my experience is fresher is better if you want to enjoy the full coconut experience.

Drink on BAs and a shout out to those who are still without power!

This has been languishing in the fridge since last fall when I found a few at a store in Iowa. The label is beat up from travel, but what a beauty of a beer! I saw @Beer-Panda post a 2012 yesterday with a great description of it and totally agree with his assessment. It does indeed have the characteristics of a vintage port, single malt scotch and a Quad all thrown in. I'm going to let this work of art warm up a little more before I further indulge. At 10% abv. it's the perfect beer on a cool damp morning. Cheers gang!

Enjoying a nice evening before the rain arrives. First time trying a bourbon barrel-aged Hel & Verdoemenis, and it's incredible. No wonder I can't find it anywhere. Cheers all.

    My turn for SN Oktoberfest.
My wife was doing some grocery shopping across the river, and found this for $12.99 a 12 pack!

I had a 2012 fairly recently, and I think it might have been stored in poor conditions at the shop. It tasted a bit metallic and odd. I remember this being quite amazing, so I will need to track down another bottle. Enjoy!
