Pretty sure it's called a "double" because you're supposed to drink two...

Yerp, Oscillation 010 still in effect... Lots of sweet herbal and floral lemon-like impressions, such as candied citrus and soft pith; tropical and orchard fruit notes percolate just below the surface for complexity and balance... smooth and plush - a real easy drinker...

    Swayin', swingin', and spinnin'...

    Cheers...

Hmmm, many are saying that this is showing some significant diacetyl. I'm not super sensitive to it, but I am picking up a little bit. Not terribly unpleasant, but it is there and it's not supposed to be.

Namaste friends. Got nothing positive to add tonight. Do not drink and drive. Do not work too hard tomorrow.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good hump day. Another quick feeling busy day. Had to give a presentation in a management meeting for all of the data I scrubbed through the past few days. Got another one next Monday after I fulfill their requests for additional things. Made the usual mid week bottle returns and mini beer haul. Got a few new brews.

    Today's Reviews:

Excellent IPA! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/bodied and moderately crisp. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth drinking. Insanely dank and vibrant hops; great malt backbone with no residual sweetness. They mention Citra hops on the can, but there is definitely Columbus and/or Chinook as well. Lots of dank pine resin and rindy citrus character. No complaints! I love classic C hops. Quite refreshing, despite it's aggressiveness. Would buy again. 4

Delicious pumpkin ale. Aromas and flavors of big pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla, clove, brown sugar, lightly toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal spice earthiness. Light herbal/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Nice bready/grainy malt mouthfeel; with light spice stickiness. Lightly increasing bitter/spicy dryness. Clean finishing, fairly crisp, quite refreshing. Really flavorful for a 5.6% brew. Authentic pumpkin flavor with great balance of spices and bready malts. Nice vanilla presence, not overdone. Will have to revisit the regular. Been a while, but I remember enjoying it about as much. Might need to revisit that review(was 5 years ago). Will definitely seek out again. 3.9

Very nice Saison. Aromas and flavors of lightly tart cherry, lemon, berries, peach, pear, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, and light banana/bubblegum yeast; with moderate wheat, rye, biscuit, white bread dough malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; with light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body and fairly crisp. Balanced bready/grainy malts and yeast/hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing spicy yeast dryness. Fairly clean and quite refreshing. On the maltier side for a saison(as was the Au Miel); but I liked this a bit more overall. Even though it wasn't as crisp and drying on carbonation. Very well rounded saison yeast complexity; malty backbone with minimal residual sweetness. Nice chokecherry fruit presence without much added acidity or tang. Will keep an eye out for others in the series. 3.88
